Nuestra Belleza México 2014
The Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2014 pageant was held at the Jardines de México in Jojutla, Morelos, México on October 25, 2014. Thirty-two contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Wendolly Esparza from Aguascalientes who later competed in Miss Universe 2015 in the United States where she was a semifinalist in the Top 15. Esparza was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Josselyn Garciglia. She is the second Hidrocálida to win this title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Yamelin Ramírez from Sonora who later competed in Miss World 2015 in China. Ramírez was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mundo México titleholder Daniela Álvarez (model), Daniela Álvarez. Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country’s delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm International, and Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal. The current Mexicana Universal is Irma Miranda of Sonora, who will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022. The organization is directed by the nation's first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones (1991). Who originally produced the pageant as Nuestra Belleza México in association with the Televisa TV network. Mexico's Next Top Model, Cycle 3
Season three of ''Mexico's Next Top Model'', the Mexican adaptation of Tyra Banks' '' America's Next Top Model'', aired on Sony Entertainment Television from September to November 2012. The show was hosted by Mexican model Elsa Benítez. Former judge Jo Lance was replaced by fashion correspondent and consultant Antonio González de Cosío. The prize package for this season included a US$100,000 modeling contract with Queta Rojas management, a cover feature and an editorial spread in '' Elle'' magazine, an all-expenses paid trip to New York City to meet with modeling agencies, and a brand new Volkswagen. Mexicana Universal Jalisco is a pageant in Jalisco, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. Jalisco is considered one of the strongest states in Mexican pageantry, as they are almost always among the finalists. Jalisco is the first state that has produced more winners of Nuestra Belleza México/Mexicana Universal in history. With 5 Nuestra Belleza México crowns (now Mexicana Universal), 3 of them being consecutive years 2008, 2009, 2010. Miss International 2015, the 55th Miss International pageant, was held on November 5, 2015 at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Valerie Hernandez of Puerto Rico crowned her successor Edymar Martínez of Venezuela at the end of the event with a new crown created and designed by Mikimoto. Miss World 2015
Miss World 2015, the 65th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 19 December 2015 at the outdoor arena of the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. 114 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. Rolene Strauss of South Africa crowned her successor Mireia Lalaguna of Spain at the end of the event. It was the first time in the history of Miss World that Spain won the pageant. Since this year, the swimsuit competition (Miss World Beach Beauty) has been officially removed from the pageant.
