Nuestra Belleza México 2009
The 16th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant was held at the Centro de Convenciones Yucatán Siglo XXI of Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico on September 20, 2009. It was the second time there were back-to-back victories for a state in Nuestra Belleza México history: Ximena Navarrete from Jalisco was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Karla Carrillo also from Jalisco. She was the third Jalisciense to win this title. Thirty-four contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title. Navarrete competed in Miss Universe 2010 in the US and won the Universal Title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Anabel Solís from Yucatán, who competed in Miss World 2010 in China. Solís was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mundo México titleholder Perla Beltrán. She is the first and only Yucateca and second with red hair to win this Title. Ximena Navarrete
Jimena "Ximena" Navarrete Rosete (born February 22, 1988) is a Mexican actress, TV host, model and beauty queen who won Miss Universe 2010. She was previously named as Nuestra Belleza México 2009. She is the second Miss Universe from Mexico. Personal life Navarrete was born and raised in Guadalajara, the capital city of Jalisco, Mexico to a middle-class family. She is one of two children, born to Carlos Navarrete a dentist and Gabriela Rosette, a house wife. She has one younger sister. Nuestra Belleza México
Mexicana Universal is a national beauty pageant in Mexico held annually since 2018, replacing the former pageant, Nuestra Belleza México, held since 1994. Currently, the pageant is responsible for selecting the country’s delegates to Miss Universe, Miss International, Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Charm International, and Nuestra Latinoamericana Universal. The current Mexicana Universal is Irma Miranda of Sonora, who will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2022. The organization is directed by the nation's first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones (1991). Who originally produced the pageant as Nuestra Belleza México in association with the Televisa TV network. Mexicana Universal Coahuila is a pageant in Coahuila, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. Mexican Universal Chihuahua is a pageant in Chihuahua, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. In 2005 was not sent to a State Representative. Mexicana Universal Sinaloa is a pageant in Sinaloa, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal. Sinaloa is the third State in Mexico that has produced more crowns in the history with 5 crowns. Mexicana Universal Jalisco is a pageant in Jalisco, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. Jalisco is considered one of the strongest states in Mexican pageantry, as they are almost always among the finalists. Jalisco is the first state that has produced more winners of Nuestra Belleza México/Mexicana Universal in history. With 5 Nuestra Belleza México crowns (now Mexicana Universal), 3 of them being consecutive years 2008, 2009, 2010. Nuestra Belleza México 2000
The 7th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Emilio Sánchez Piedras of Apizaco, Tlaxcala, Mexico on September 2, 2000. Forty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Jacqueline Bracamontes from Jalisco, who later competed in Miss Universe 2001 in Puerto Rico. Bracamontes was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Leticia Murray. She was the first Jalisciense and the second winner of foreign descent (her maternal grandparents are Belgian) and the third blonde to win this Title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was assumed by Paulina Flores from Sinaloa after Jacqueline Bracamontes won the right to compete in Miss Universe, she had been the original winner of this title but she could not hold both titles, and then Paulina Flores as Suplente/1st Runner-up assumed this Title. Perla Judith Beltrán Acosta (born September 30, 1986) is a Mexican beauty queen from the state of Sinaloa, and the first runner-up in Miss World 2009. Early life An industrial engineering alumni, Beltrán was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa and raised in Guamúchil from the age of 10. Despite her admiration for beauty queens as a child, Beltrán never expected to take part in the pageant world. Miss World 2010, the 60th anniversary of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 October 2010 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China after Vietnam backed out of the hosting contract. 121 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown.
