Nuestra Belleza México 2000
The 7th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Auditorio Emilio Sánchez Piedras of Apizaco, Tlaxcala, Mexico on September 2, 2000. Forty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Jacqueline Bracamontes from Jalisco, who later competed in Miss Universe 2001 in Puerto Rico. Bracamontes was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Leticia Murray. She was the first Jalisciense and the second winner of foreign descent (her maternal grandparents are Belgian) and the third blonde to win this Title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was assumed by Paulina Flores from Sinaloa after Jacqueline Bracamontes won the right to compete in Miss Universe, she had been the original winner of this title but she could not hold both titles, and then Paulina Flores as Suplente/1st Runner-up assumed this Title. Jacqueline Bracamontes
Jacqueline Bracamontes Van Hoorde (born 23 December 1979) is a Mexican actress, former model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Nuestra Belleza Jalisco 2000, Nuestra Belleza México 2000 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2001. Early life Bracamontes born in Guadalajara, Jalisco to Jesús Bracamontes, the former coach of the popular Mexican football team Chivas, and Jacqueline Van Hoorde. She is the oldest of three children. Miss World 2000
Miss World 2000, the 50th anniversary of the Miss World pageant, was held on 30 November 2000 at the Millennium Dome in London, United Kingdom. The pageant's swimsuit segment was filmed in the Maldives. The pageant was the first since the death of pageant owner Eric Morley, whose widow Julia Morley assumed responsibility for the event. The pageant had 95 contestants, the highest number of Miss World participants at that time. The pageant was won by Priyanka Chopra of India, at the age of 18.
