Nuestra Belleza México 2008
The 15th annual Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Arena Monterrey of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico on September 20, 2008. Thirty-three contestants competed for the national title, which was won by Karla Carrillo from Jalisco, who later competed in Miss Universe 2009 in The Bahamas. Carrillo was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Elisa Nájera. She was the second Jalisciense to win this Title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Perla Beltrán from Sinaloa, who later competed in Miss World 2009 in South Africa where she was the 1st Runner-up. Beltrán was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mundo México titleholder Anagabriela Espinoza. She was the second Sinaloense to win this Title. As the Suplente/1st Runner-up the Nuestra Belleza Internacional México 2009 title was won by Laura Zúñiga from Sinaloa, and she would compete in Miss International 2009 in China, but was dethroned on December 25, 2008. Jacqueline Bracamontes
Jacqueline Bracamontes Van Hoorde (born 23 December 1979) is a Mexican actress, former model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Nuestra Belleza Jalisco 2000, Nuestra Belleza México 2000 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2001. Mexicana Universal Sinaloa is a pageant in Sinaloa, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal. Sinaloa is the third State in Mexico that has produced more crowns in the history with 5 crowns. Nuestra Belleza Jalisco
Mexicana Universal Jalisco is a pageant in Jalisco, Mexico, that selects that state's representative for the national Mexicana Universal pageant. Jalisco is considered one of the strongest states in Mexican pageantry, as they are almost always among the finalists. Jalisco is the first state that has produced more winners of Nuestra Belleza México/Mexicana Universal in history. Miss Universe 2006
Miss Universe 2006 was the 55th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, United States on July 23, 2006. At the end of the event, Natalie Glebova of Canada crowned Zuleyka Rivera of Puerto Rico as Miss Universe 2006. It is Puerto Rico's fifth victory in the pageant's history. After the show, Rivera passed out but quickly recovered. Contestants from 86 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant, surpassing the previous record of 84 contestants in 1999. Nuestra Belleza México 2005, the 12th Nuestra Belleza México pageant, was held at the Antiguo Taller de Locomotoras of Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico on September 2, 2005. Thirty-three contestants of the Mexican Republic competed for the national title, which was won by Priscila Perales from Nuevo León, who later competed in Miss Universe 2006 in United States where she was a Semifinalist in the Top 10. Miss International 2009, the 49th Miss International pageant, was held on November 28, 2009, at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. The pageant was originally scheduled to be held on November 7, 2009, at The Venetian Macao in Macau, but the host committee backed out. 65 contestants competed for the coveted title.
