Northeastern Political Science Association
The Northeastern Political Science Association (abbreviated NPSA) is an American 501(c)(4) professional society dedicated to political science. Established in 1968, its name reflects its intended focus on the Northeastern United States, as well as its origins from regional associations in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and New England. Also established in 1968 was the association's official journal, ''Polity A polity is an identifiable Politics, political entity – a group of people with a collective identity, who are organized by some form of Institutionalisation, institutionalized social relation, social relations, and have a capacity to mobilize ...''. New Jersey

Learned Societies Of The United States
Learning is the process of acquiring new understanding, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, attitudes, and preferences. The ability to learn is possessed by humans, animals, and some machines; there is also evidence for some kind of learning in certain plants. Some learning is immediate, induced by a single event (e.g. being burned by a hot stove), but much skill and knowledge accumulate from repeated experiences. A 501(c) organization is a nonprofit organization in the Law of the United States#Federal law, federal law of the United States according to Internal Revenue Code (26 U.S.C. § 501(c)) and is one of over 29 types of nonprofit organizations exempt from some Taxation in the United States, federal Income tax in the United States, income taxes.
