Nork-Marash ( hy, Նորք-Մարաշ վարչական շրջան, Nork-Maraš varčakan šrĵan), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is located to the east of the city centre. It is bordered by the Kentron District form the west and the north, Nor Nork from the east and Erebuni from the south. The name of the district is derived from the Nork neighbourhood of Yerevan and the ancient major of Marash in Republic of Turkey. The district is unofficially divided into smaller neighborhoods such as Nork and Nor Marash. The district was formed in 1996 through the merger of Nork and Nor Marash neighborhoods. The Nork-Marash Medical Center is a teaching hospital and biomedical research facility in Yerevan, Armenia, focused on cardiac care. Nor Nork ( hy, Նոր Նորք, ''Nor Nork'') is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is located at the eastern part of the city. It is bordered by the districts of Nork-Marash, Kentron and Kanaker-Zeytun from the west, Avan from the north and Erebuni from the south. Kotayk Province forms the eastern border of the district. Erebuni District
Erebuni ( hy, Էրեբունի վարչական շրջան, ''Erebuni varčakan šrĵan''), is one of the 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. It is situated southeast of the city centre where Erebuni Fortress is located. The name of Yerevan itself is derived from ancient ''Erebuni''. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is an ethnic and territorial conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, inhabited mostly by ethnic Armenians, and seven surrounding districts, inhabited mostly by Azerbaijanis until their expulsion during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. Yerevan TV Tower ( hy, Երևանի հեռուստաաշտարակ, ''Yerevani herustaashtarak'') is a high lattice tower built in 1977 on Nork Hill near downtown Yerevan, Armenia. It is the tallest structure in the Caucasus, fourth-tallest tower in Western Asia (The Milad Tower in Tehran being the tallest), sixth-tallest free-standing lattice tower and thirty-eighth-tallest tower in the world.
