Gorzów Wielkopolski (; german: Landsberg an der Warthe) often abbreviated to Gorzów Wlkp. or simply Gorzów, is a city in western Poland, on the Warta river. The 2022 European Pairs Speedway Championship was the 19th edition of the European Pairs Speedway Championship. the final was held in Slangerup, Denmark on 27 August. The second semi final was held in Mâcon in France on 23 July, where defending champions France were eliminated, along with Italy and the Netherlands. The Poland national under-21 speedway team is the national under-21 motorcycle speedway team of Poland and is controlled by the Polish Motor Union ( PZM). The Under-21 Speedway World Cup has been dominated by Poland with them winning first place in all of the past championships. Karol Ząbik was a member of Poland team by three finals (2005-2007). Motorcycle speedway, usually referred to simply as speedway, is a motorcycle sport involving four and sometimes up to six riders competing over four anti-clockwise laps of an oval circuit. The motorcycles are specialist machines that use only one gear and have no brakes. Racing takes place on a flat oval track usually consisting of dirt, loosely packed shale, or crushed rock (mostly used in Australia and New Zealand). The 2020 Team Speedway Junior European Championship was the 13th Team Speedway Junior European Championship season. It was organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme and was the 9th as an under 21 years of age event. The final took place on 29 August 2020 in Łódź, Poland. The Team Speedway Under-21 World Championship is a speedway competition to determine the World Championship for national Under-21 teams. The sport's equivalent of the Under-21 World Cup in football, as of 2022 the title is awarded to the winners of SON2, the Under-21 division of the Speedway of Nations.
