Nicolas Princen
Nicolas Princen (born 1984 in Rennes, France), was the technical advisor of French President Nicolas Sarkozy from 2007 to 2012. He was the manager of Nicolas Sarkozy's online campaign during the 2012 French presidential election. Education From 2001 to 2003, Nicolas Princen took the preparatory class Hypokhâgne/Khâgne BL Arts and Social Sciences at Lycée Henri IV. From 2003 to 2006, he pursued a Masters in political philosophy at the École Normale Supérieure (''Ulm''). In 2007, he graduated from HEC Paris with a major in entrepreneurship. During his studies, he did internships as a reporter to the editorial board of Le Figaro and as project manager at Euro RSCG New York. Presidential elections in France, Presidential elections were held in France on 21 and 22 April 2007 to elect the successor to Jacques Chirac as President of the French Republic, president of France (and ''ex officio'' Co-Prince of Andorra) for a five-year term. As no candidate received a majority of the vote, a second round was held on 5 and 6 May 2007 between the two leading candidates, Nicolas Sarkozy and Ségolène Royal. Sarkozy was elected with 53% of the vote. Sarkozy and Royal both represented a generational change. Both main candidates were born after World War II, along with the first to have seen adulthood under the French Fifth Republic, Fifth Republic, and the first not to have been in politics under Charles de Gaulle. ''Slate'' is an online magazine that covers current affairs, politics, and culture in the United States. It was created in 1996 by former '' New Republic'' editor Michael Kinsley, initially under the ownership of Microsoft as part of MSN. The E-G8 Forum (or simply the eG8) was an invitation-only summit of leaders in government and industry focusing on the Internet in the context of global public policy. The event was put on by Publicis Groupe and was convened by French President Nicolas Sarkozy from May 24-25th 2011, prior to the 37th G8 summit, and was held at the Tuileries Garden in Paris. Origin The idea for the event came up on a blog post by Tariq Krim in which the founder of Netvibes complained that France doesn't have its own CTO. The Conseil national du numérique (French Digital Council, abbreviated CNNum or less commonly CNN) is a French independent advisory commission created on 29 April 2011 by the French presidential decree n°2011-476.
