Nicklas Svendsen
Nicklas Nygaard Svendsen (born 11 December 1986) is a Danish former professional footballer who played as a left-back. He currently works as executive assistant for the director of football at Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF. During his active career as a player, he gained 35 caps for various Denmark national youth teams. Club career Svendsen progressed through the KB academy in his youth years, after coming from B.93 in 2005. On 2 August 2007, he signed a two-year contract with Dutch club RKC Waalwijk, after having trialled with Emmen. There, he was set to replace the injured Guus de Vries. He made his debut for the club – which was also his professional debut – on 10 August in a 2–2 draw against FC Omniworld. He would, however, struggle with injuries after a relatively successful first season with RKC, and saw diminished playing time in his second season at the club. Brøndbyernes Idrætsforening (, usually abbreviated to Brøndby IF (), is a professional association football club based in Brøndbyvester, Capital Region of Denmark. The club was founded in 1964 as a merger between two local clubs and was promoted to the Danish top-flight football league in 1981. Brøndby IF has won 11 Danish championships and 7 Danish Cups. Ebbe Sand (; born 19 July 1972) is a former professional footballer from Denmark who played as a forward for Brøndby IF in Denmark and FC Schalke 04 in Germany. He was the Bundesliga top scorer in 2001, and won the DFB-Pokal in 2001 and 2002 with Schalke. On the international stage, he represented the Denmark national team at the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cup, as well as the 2000 and 2004 European Championships. At the 1998 World Cup, he scored the fastest-ever World Cup goal by a substitute – 16 seconds after entering the match. The 2nd Division ( da, Danmarksturneringens 2. division or Herre-DM 2. division) is a semi-professional association football league for men and the third division in Denmark. It is organised by the Divisionsforeningen on behalf of the Danish Football Association (Danish FA; DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i fodbold (Herre-DM) and is positioned between the second-tier 1st Division and the fourth-tier Danish 3rd Division in the Danish football league system. Aurelijus Skarbalius (; born 12 May 1973) is a Lithuanian professional football manager and former player, who started his career as a winger, but played mostly as either left- or right-sided full-back. The 1st Division (''1. Division'') is the second-highest football league in Denmark, also known as NordicBet Liga for sponsorship reasons. From 1945 to 1991 the 1. Division was the name of the highest level of football in Denmark. With the formation of the Danish Superliga, the 1st Division became the second tier of Danish football.
