Nick Griggs
Nick Griggs (born 18 December 2004) is an Irish middle and long-distance runner from County Tyrone. Early and personal life From Newmills, County Tyrone, Griggs was made the Head Boy at Cookstown High School. He had an older brother called Josh who died in an accident in 2021. A keen GAA player, he played for Brackaville Owen Roes GFC from the age of five. He set Irish U18 records, running 14:15.98 for 5000m, and winning the national U18 3000m title in Santry, in 8:11.15. Griggs ran for Mid Ulster AC in County Tyrone before switching to the Candour Track Club in Belfast, where he is coached by Mark Kirk. Career Griggs won the 2021 European Athletics U20 Championships over 3000m in July 2021, Tallinn at the age of 16 years-old. 2022 In February 2022, he set new national U20 records in the 1500m and 3000m. Niels Laros
Niels Laros (; born 17 April 2005) is a Dutch middle and long-distance runner. In 2022, he became European under-18 champion over 3000m and 5000m. In 2023, he set a new Dutch senior record in the 1500 metres. Early and personal life From Oosterhout, Laros' parents, Marcel Laros and Sandra Laros-Hofmans, were both runners. His brother Lars is a college athlete. He attended school at Oelbert Gymnasium in Oosterhout. He began to be coached by Tomasz Lewandowski in 2022. He divided his final high school in two parts to allow him to participate in training camps with Lewandowski. Raymond P. Flynn (born 22 January 1957) is a retired middle-distance runner who works as a sports agent. Over the course of his racing career, Flynn ran a total of 89 sub-four minute miles, with his best time (and current Irish mile record) of 3:49.77 on 7 July 1982 in Oslo, Norway at the Bislett Games Dream Mile. He also holds the current Irish 1500 meter record of 3:33.5, set in the same Oslo race.
