''Next Episode'' (stylized in all caps) is the second extended play (EP) by South Korean brother-sister duo AKMU. It was released digitally on July 26, 2021, and physically on July 27, through YG Entertainment. The EP marks the duo's first album release in nearly two years, since '' Sailing'' in September 2019. Described as a "collaboration album", it comprises seven songs, with each track featuring a different artist. "Nakka" serves as the lead single for the album. Background and release South Korean brother-sister duo AKMU released the single "Happening" on November 16, 2020. In a press release for the song member Lee Chan-hyuk hinted that it was a potential prelude to their next full-length album. AKMU ( ko, 악뮤), also known as Akdong Musician ( ko, 악동뮤지션), is a South Korean sibling duo consisting of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun who debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2014 with studio album ''Play (AKMU album), Play'' after winning SBS' K-pop Star 2. Their debut album ''Play (AKMU album), Play'' was well received by the public and critics, having sold more than 6.9 million downloads, and was awarded "Best Pop Album" in the 12th Korean Music Awards. 2021 Melon Music Awards
The 2021 Melon Music Awards, organized by Kakao M and Melon, took place on December 4, 2021. The K-pop Hot 100 is a music singles chart in South Korea, launched by ''Billboard'' in conjunction with ''Billboard'' Korea () on August 25, 2011. It is the second Asian ''Billboard'' chart after the Japan Hot 100. The chart used the same multimetric methodology as the US Hot 100 and rankings were compiled based on Hanteo Chart data, streaming and download data from Naver VIBE, and domestic radio and television music playback data. Updates were published on ''Billboard'' Korea's website every Tuesday, and appeared on billboard.com the following day. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. Lee Su-hyun (; born May 4, 1999), is a South Korean singer. Following her appearance on the second installation of SBS audition program ''K-pop Star'' alongside her brother, she debuted as the vocalist of the sibling duo AKMU on April 7, 2014, under YG Entertainment after winning the show. Alongside Lee Hi, she was also part of the duo Hi Suhyun, formed in 2014, and debuted as a solo artist on October 16, 2020, with the digital single "Alien". Sam Kim (; born February 19, 1998) is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist based in South Korea. He is signed under Antenna Music, having finished as the runner-up of the talent show ''K-pop Star 3''. He made his official debut on April 10, 2016 with the EP ''I Am Sam'', and followed it with the studio album '' Sun and Moon'' on November 22, 2018.
