AKMU
AKMU ( ko, 악뮤), also known as Akdong Musician ( ko, 악동뮤지션), is a South Korean sibling duo consisting of Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun who debuted under YG Entertainment in April 2014 with studio album ''Play (AKMU album), Play'' after winning SBS' K-pop Star 2. Their debut album ''Play (AKMU album), Play'' was well received by the public and critics, having sold more than 6.9 million downloads, and was awarded "Best Pop Album" in the 12th Korean Music Awards. The follow up albums ''Spring (AKMU EP), Spring'' and ''Winter (AKMU album), Winter'' furthered their success. As of March 2017, they have sold over 23 million digital sales in South Korea. Lee Su-hyun (; born May 4, 1999), is a South Korean singer. Following her appearance on the second installation of SBS audition program ''K-pop Star'' alongside her brother, she debuted as the vocalist of the sibling duo AKMU on April 7, 2014, under YG Entertainment after winning the show. Alongside Lee Hi, she was also part of the duo Hi Suhyun, formed in 2014, and debuted as a solo artist on October 16, 2020, with the digital single "Alien". Lee Chan-hyuk (; born September 12, 1996), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer and author. He debuted as a member of the sibling duo AKMU in April 2014, under YG Entertainment. Life and career 1996–2013: Early life Lee Chan-hyuk was born on September 12, 1996, in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Yang Hyun-suk (born January 9, 1970) is a South Korean music executive, rapper, dancer, songwriter, and record producer. He rose to fame as a member of Seo Taiji and Boys during the 1990s. After the group disbanded, he founded and became the Executive producer & Chairman of YG Entertainment, one of the biggest record companies in South Korea.
