Netter Digital
Netter Digital Entertainment (NDE) was a visual effects and CGI special effects company founded in 1995 and went out of business in 2000. History Netter Digital Entertainment was created by Douglas Netter in 1995. The company produced the show Hypernauts before moving to digital EFX work and replacing Foundation Imaging in the final two seasons of ''Babylon 5'' as the sole producer of CGI special effects for that series as well as several of the B5 Made-For-TV movies. NDE also produced all the effects for its short-lived spinoff, ''Crusade''. With the cancellation of ''Crusade'' in 1999, Netter Digital lost its only client. They subsequently worked on the ''Dan Dare'', ''Max Steel'', and '' Robotech 3000'' animated television series, but this was not enough to prevent them going out of business in 2000. ''Robotech 3000'' was Harmony Gold's attempt to revive the ''Robotech'' franchise before the turn of the millennium. After the relative success of '' Voltron: The Third Dimension'' and '' Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles'', a new ''Robotech'' sequel was proposed that would use 3D CG visuals, with producer Jason Netter and writer Carl Macek at the helm. Story and development The story was based during an era of peace under an interplanetary federation a thousand years in the future, to avoid conflicts with ''Robotechs complex continuity. Max Steel
Max Steel is a line of action figures produced and owned by the toy company Mattel since 1999. The original figures based on the first TV series were similar to the original 12-inch G.I. Joe toys, consisting almost entirely of different versions of Max Steel, the main character, and one or two of his enemies, a couple of vehicles and two or three special packages. The original toy series ran from 1999–2013. At the end of that period, was substituted by a different series of toys with the same brand name, but with a change in quality and design intended to tie into the companion TV series in 2013.
