Nesla Glacier
Nesla Glacier ( bg, ледник Несла, lednik Nesla, ) is the 6.2 km (3.2 mi) long and 2 km (1.2 mi) wide glacier on Magnier Peninsula, Graham Coast on the west side of Antarctic Peninsula, situated southwest of Muldava Glacier and north of Kolosh Glacier. It drains the west slopes of Lisiya Ridge west of Mount Perchot, and flows westwards into Bigo Bay next north of the terminus of Kolosh Glacier. Magnier Peninsula
Magnier Peninsula is the mostly ice-covered peninsula projecting 18 km in northwest direction from Graham Coast in Graham Land, Antarctica. It is 17 km wide between Leroux Bay to the northeast and Bigo Bay to the southwest. Magnier Peaks rise in the northern part of the peninsula, while Lisiya Ridge occupy its base. Antarctic Peninsula
The Antarctic Peninsula, known as O'Higgins Land in Chile and Tierra de San Martín in Argentina, and originally as Graham Land in the United Kingdom and the Palmer Peninsula in the United States, is the northernmost part of mainland Antarctica. The Antarctic Peninsula is part of the larger peninsula of West Antarctica, protruding from a line between Cape Adams (Weddell Sea) and a point on the mainland south of the Eklund Islands. Bigo Bay
Bigo Bay () is a bay long and wide, indenting the west coast of Graham Land between Cape Garcia and Magnier Peninsula surmounted by the Magnier Peaks and Lisiya Ridge. The French Antarctic Expedition, 1908–10, first sighted this bay but charted it as the southern part of Leroux Bay. Glacier Terminus
A glacier terminus, toe, or snout, is the end of a glacier at any given point in time. Although glaciers seem motionless to the observer, in reality glaciers are in endless motion and the glacier terminus is always either advancing or retreating. The location of the terminus is often directly related to glacier mass balance, which is based on the amount of snowfall which occurs in the accumulation zone of a glacier, as compared to the amount that is melted in the ablation zone. The position of a glacier terminus is also impacted by localized or regional temperature change over time. The Antarctic Place-names Commission was established by the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute in 1994, and since 2001 has been a body affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
