Necklace Road
PV Narasimha Rao Marg (PVNR Marg), formerly Necklace Road is a boulevard in Hyderabad, Telangana, adjoining the Hussain Sagar lake, which connects NTR Gardens to Sanjeevaiah Park. It is named after the first and the famous Necklace Road in Mumbai's Marine Drive. The road from Sanjivaiah park connects to the Tankbund road which in turn connects to the NTR Gardens completing a circle. This stretch of road, along with the Tank Bund, appears in the form of a necklace as seen from the sky - and hence the name. This boulevard is complete with restaurants, recreational facilities and good views of the city of Hyderabad. People's plaza, located on this boulevard is a recreational area which is busy all throughout the year with exhibitions, music shows, sports and games etc. Eat Street and Water Front are two well known restaurants, the latter which offers more of buffets and a variety of cuisines, whereas the former is more of a fast food joint. Tank Bund Road
The Tank Bund Road is a road in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, India. The Tank Bund dams Hussain Sagar lake on the eastern side and connects the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It has become an attraction with 33 statues of famous people from the region. The Pakistan Patton tank, now an attraction for visitors to the Tank Bund Road, is a War Trophy given to the 54th Infantry Division, and is one that the Indian Army had disabled during the Battle of Basantar in Pakistan, between 15 and 17 December 1971. Hussain Sagar
Hussain Sagar (alternatively referred to as Tank Bund; ) is a heart-shaped lake in Hyderabad, Telangana, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah in 1563. It is spread across an area of and is fed by the River Musi. A large monolithic statue of the Gautama Buddha, erected in 1992, stands on Gibraltar Rock in the middle of the lake. It also separates the city centre of Hyderabad from its neighborhood Secunderabad. NTR Gardens
NTR Gardens is a small public, urban park of adjacent to Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad, India, Hyderabad, India. It is named after the former Chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. T. Rama Rao. Constructed in several phases since 1999, the area that is predominantly a park is geographically located in the centre of the city, and is close to other tourist attractions such as Birla Mandir, Hyderabad, Birla Mandir, Necklace Road and Lumbini Park. Sanjeevaiah Park
Sanjeevaiah Park is a public greenspace and park in the heart of Hyderabad, India. Built on along the banks of Hussain Sagar lake, the park is named after Damodaram Sanjivayya, an erstwhile Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The park is managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority. The park won the Best Open Landscape Award during the 2010 Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage award presentations. The park also houses the second tallest Indian Flag. Marine Drive, Mumbai
Marine Drive is a 3 kilometre-long Promenade along the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road in Mumbai, India. The road and promenade were constructed by Pallonji Mistry. It is a 'C'-shaped six-lane concrete road along the coast of a natural bay. At the northern end of Marine Drive is Girgaon Chowpatty and the adjacent road along links Nariman Point at southern tip to Babulnath and Malabar Hill at northern tip. Marine Drive is situated on reclaimed land facing west-south-west. Marine Drive is also known as the ''Queen's Necklace'' because, when viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls in a necklace. Jalavihar is a waterpark located in Hyderabad, Telangana, (India) within an area of about . Located beside Sanjeevaiah Park and along the Hussain Sagar lake, the park was inaugurated on 20 May 2007. Background R. J. Rao, a non-resident Indian, and a group of individuals funded the in a public-private partnership model with the local tourism department.
