National Tribunal Of Journalistic Ethics
Bolivia's National Tribunal of Journalistic Ethics ( es, Tribunal Nacional de Ética Periodística; TNEP) is an independent advisory body to the Bolivian press, which monitors the behavior of journalists according to ethical criteria. It forms part of the National Council of Journalist Ethics ( es, Consejo Nacional de Ética Periodística). First set up in February 2010, the National Tribunal accepts and rules on individual complaints against state media or private press. The tribunal has five members, including a president, which change every two years. A journalist is an individual that collects/gathers information in form of text, audio, or pictures, processes them into a news-worthy form, and disseminates it to the public. The act or process mainly done by the journalist is called journalism. Journalism Ethics And Standards
Journalistic ethics and standards comprise principles of ethics and good practice applicable to journalists. This subset of media ethics is known as journalism's professional "code of ethics" and the "canons of journalism". The basic codes and canons commonly appear in statements by professional journalism associations and individual print, broadcast, and online news organizations. There are around 400 codes covering journalistic work around the world. While various codes may differ in the detail of their content and come from different cultural traditions, most share common elements including the principles of truthfulness, accuracy and fact-based communications, independence, objectivity, impartiality, fairness, respect for others and public accountability, as these apply to the gathering, editing and dissemination of newsworthy information to the public. Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé
Eduardo Rodríguez Veltzé (born 2 March 1956) is a Bolivian judge who briefly served as the 64th president of Bolivia from 2005 to 2006 on an interim basis following the resignation of President Carlos Mesa during the 2005 political crisis. Prior to his temporary role as president, he was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Bolivia. Background Born in Cochabamba in 1956, Rodríguez is a lawyer and holds a master's degree in public administration. He studied at Colegio San Agustín; later he studied law at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba and obtained his Master of Public Administration at Harvard University's John F. The Supreme Court of Bolivia (''Corte Suprema de Justicia de Bolivia'') was the Bolivia's highest court from 1825 to 2012. It was located in Sucre, 410 kilometres to the south-east of La Paz, Bolivia's capital. The Court was created by the Supreme Decree (Decreto Supremo) of April 27, 1825, which transformed the Royal Audience of Charcas (''Audiencia y Cancillería Real de La Plata de los Charcas'') of imperial Spain into the Supreme Court of the newly independent country.
