Somerset County is a county in the state of Maine, in the United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 50,477. Its county seat is Skowhegan. History Somerset County was established on March 1, 1809 from portions of Kennebec County and was named after Somerset County in England. Sagadahoc County ( ) is a county located in the U.S. state of Maine. As of the 2020 census, the population was 36,699. Its county seat is Bath. In geographic area, it is the smallest county in Maine. Sagadahoc County is part of the Portland– South Portland, ME Metropolitan Statistical Area. Flagstaff Lake (Maine)
Flagstaff Lake is located in Somerset County and Franklin County, Maine, in the United States. The North Branch Dead River and South Branch Dead River join in the lake, forming the Dead River. The lake's surface area is , and it has a storage capacity of about 275,482 acre-feet. It is extremely shallow (more so during drought years). Its deepest point is . Landlocked salmon and brook trout can be caught.
