National Land Survey Of Finland
The National Land Survey of Finland ( fi, Maanmittauslaitos, sv, Lantmäteriverket) is an official body, dealing with cartography and cadastre issues in Finland. It is subordinated the Finnish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. On May 1, 2012 the National Land Survey opened its topographic datasets for free use. Organization The current director is Arvo Kokkonen. The National Land Survey of Finland has offices in 37 localities across Finland, from Mariehamn to Ivalo. Mariehamn
Mariehamn ( , ; fi, Maarianhamina ; la, Portus Mariae) is the capital of Åland, an autonomous territory under Finnish sovereignty. Mariehamn is the seat of the Government and Parliament of Åland, and 40% of the population of Åland live in the city. It is mostly surrounded by Jomala, the second largest municipality in Åland in terms of population; to the east it is bordered by Lemland. Ivalo
Ivalo ( smn, Avveel, se, Avvil, sms, Âʹvvel) is a village in the municipality of Inari, Lapland, Finland, located on the Ivalo River south of Lake Inari in the Arctic Circle. It has a population of 3,998 and a small airport. south of Ivalo is a very popular resort named Saariselkä.
