National Forum (Croatia)
National Forum ( hr, Nacionalni forum, abbreviation NF) was a citizen association and a political party (officially registered on February 1, 2014) in Croatia, founded by Nikica Gabrić. On March 1, 2014, NF announced a coalition with Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) for upcoming European Parliament election. Later, they formed that coalition, together with Alliance of Primorje-Gorski Kotar (PGS) and List for Fiume. The party joined the European Democratic Party (EDP) on 30 April 2014. Political program Party's political program was focused on stimulating economic growth and employment, especially of the young, educated and talented people who are waiting for their chance on the Employment Exchange, and demography, which is crucial for the existence of the Croatian people. Nikica Gabrić
Nikica Gabrić (born 1961) is a Croatian physician and politician. He was born in Metković. He graduated at the School of Medicine in Zagreb as an ophthalmologist. He founded the Special Hospital for Ophthalmology ''Svjetlost'' in Zagreb, in which he works and serves as the Director. He specializes in surgery of the anterior eye segment, with more than 30,000 operations done. His clinic is the third private health institution in Croatia in terms of total revenue, and boasts as the first one operating exclusively in the free market, without cooperation with the Croatian Institute for Health Insurance. He is professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka and a collaborative member of the Croatian Academy of Medical Sciences. In 1995 he founded the first Croatian eye bank LHOB. Lista Za Rijeku - Lista Per Fiume
Lista is a former municipality located in the old Vest-Agder county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The administrative centre was the village of Vanse where Vanse Church is located. Lista municipality was historically known as the municipality of ''Vanse'' until 1911. The former municipality's land is now located in the present-day municipality of Farsund in Agder county. Farsund Airport, Lista is located here, but it has not had any regularly scheduled commercial flights since 1999; however, there are discussions to use it as a base for offshore operations. Lista is located on a large peninsula along the Listafjorden and is home to the villages of Vestbygd and Vanse and the town of Farsund. Political Corruption
Political corruption is the use of powers by government officials or their network contacts for illegitimate private gain. Forms of corruption vary, but can include bribery, lobbying, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, parochialism, patronage, influence peddling, graft, and embezzlement. Corruption may facilitate criminal enterprise such as drug trafficking, money laundering, and human trafficking, though it is not restricted to these activities. Misuse of government power for other purposes, such as repression of political opponents and general police brutality, is also considered political corruption. Croats
The Croats (; hr, Hrvati ) are a South Slavic ethnic group who share a common Croatian ancestry, culture, history and language. They are also a recognized minority in a number of neighboring countries, namely Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Due to political, social and economic reasons, many Croats migrated to North and South America as well as New Zealand and later Australia, establishing a diaspora in the aftermath of World War II, with grassroots assistance from earlier communities and the Roman Catholic Church. Economic Growth
Economic growth can be defined as the increase or improvement in the inflation-adjusted market value of the goods and services produced by an economy in a financial year. Statisticians conventionally measure such growth as the percent rate of increase in the real gross domestic product, or real GDP. The Alliance of Primorje-Gorski Kotar ( hr, Primorsko-goranski savez or PGS) is a minor Croatian liberal regionalist political party of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County. They formerly had one representative in the Croatian Parliament in an alliance with the Croatian People's Party. The party originated from the city of Rijeka under the name of Rijeka Democratic Alliance ( hr, Riječki demokratski savez, RiDS). Croatian Social Liberal Party
The Croatian Social Liberal Party ( hr, Hrvatska socijalno-liberalna stranka or HSLS) is a conservative-liberal political party in Croatia. The HSLS was formed in 1989 as the first Croatian political party formed after the reintroduction of multi-party system. HSLS first won the elections in 2000 and formed a coalition government with four other parties, including the largest party of the Croatian centre-left, the Social Democratic Party of Croatia. After losing the 2003 general election, the party's decline in political influence started. In the most recent 2015 general election, HSLS won 2 out of 151 seats in the Croatian Parliament as a member of a center-right coalition led by the Croatian Democratic Union party. European Parliament
The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Together with the Council of the European Union (known as the Council and informally as the Council of Ministers), it adopts European legislation, following a proposal by the European Commission.
