Nathan Fake
Nathan Fake is an English electronic music artist from Necton in Norfolk, England, who has released singles as well as three albums on the label Border Community Recordings. In 2006, his debut album ''Drowning in a Sea of Love'' was released on Border Community. He released a six track mini-album ''Hard Islands'' in 2009. His third album ''Steam Days'' followed in 2012. In 2014, Fake founded the label Cambria Instruments with Wesley Matsell, the inaugural release being a split single between the two artists. In February 2020, Fake announced his fifth studio album called ''Blizzards'' would be released by Cambria Instruments on 3 April 2020. In April 2021, Fake released the Sanxenxo EP on Cambria Instruments, recorded during the BLIZZARDS album jam sessions. Necton, Norfolk
Necton is a village situated on a turning off the A47 main road between Swaffham and East Dereham in the Breckland district of mid-Norfolk. As at the 2001 census it had a population of 1,865 residents and an area of , increasing to a population of 1,923 at the 2011 census. It has a number of facilities including a primary school, playing field, social club, pub, post office a shop, a butchers and a Co-op and fuel station at the top of the village along the A47. The place-name 'Necton' is first attested in the Domesday Book of 1086, where it appears as ''Nechetuna'' and ''Neketuna''. The name means 'town or settlement by a neck of land'. (Necton is situated at the foot of a ridge.) All Saints' church, dating from the 14th century, although its tower was rebuilt in the 19th century, is at the centre of the village in the Benefice of Necton. It is a grade I listed building. Christopher Stephen Clark (born 29 August 1979) is a British electronic musician, performing under the mononym Clark. He has produced music for his own albums, as well as music for television, films and video games, having composed scores for award-winning contemporary dance and BAFTA nominated TV series. His records have been released by Warp Records, Deutsche Grammophon and his own label Throttle Records. History Clark was born Christopher Stephen Clark in 1979 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England, where he grew up and attended St Albans School. Jon Hopkins
Jonathan Julian Hopkins (born 15 August 1979) is an English musician and producer who writes and performs electronic music. He began his career playing keyboards for Imogen Heap, and has produced but also contributed to albums by Brian Eno, Coldplay, David Holmes and others. Hopkins composed the soundtrack for the 2010 film ''Monsters'', which was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Original Score. His third studio album, '' Insides'', reached no. 15 on the US Dance/Electronic Albums chart in 2009. Grasscut are a musical group featuring composer/producer Andrew Phillips and musician/writer Marcus O'Dair. Phillips writes and produces all Grasscut music; he also sings and plays various instruments including guitar and keyboards. O'Dair manages the act and contributes keyboards and double bass. Lo Recordings is a label founded in 1995 by Jon Tye. They are noted for their strong visual style thanks to Non-Format, with whom they work very closely and won a D&AD award for several of their releases sleeves. Musical style Lo recordings mainly specialize in left-field electronic music with artists such as Grimes, Black Devil and Susumu Yokota, Fischerspooner amongst many others. DFA Records
DFA Records is an American independent record label founded in 2001 by Mo' Wax co-founder Tim Goldsworthy, musician James Murphy, and manager Jonathan Galkin. They previously had a production team called The DFA, consisting of Goldsworthy and Murphy. History James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy met while working in New York on the David Holmes album '' Let's Get Killed''. After the recording was completed, Goldsworthy stayed in New York, and the two began to throw parties in the Lower East Side.
