Nashville Soccer Club was an American professional soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee. Founded in 2016, the team made its debut in the USL Championship in 2018. A Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise was awarded to Nashville in December 2017. The team, also known as Nashville SC, began play in 2020. History The club was announced on May 19, 2016. The ownership group consisted of David Dill, president and chief operating officer of LifePoint Health; Christopher Redhage, co-founder of ProviderTrust, a health care software company, and former pro soccer player; and Marcus Whitney, president of Jumpstart Foundry, a health care innovation fund, and former chairman of Nashville FC, the city's existing amateur team. Nashville Soccer Club is a Major League Soccer team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team began play in the league in 2020 as a continuation of the USL club of the same name and plays its home matches at Geodis Park. It is principally owned by John Ingram, owner of Ingram Industries, along with investors and partial owners the Turner family of Dollar General Stores. Ropapa Mensah
Ropapa Kwamina Mensah (born 20 August 1997) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays for Chattanooga Red Wolves in USL League One. Club career Mensah signed with USL Championship side Harrisburg City Islanders on 23 March 2017. For the 2018 season, he moved to another USL team, Nashville SC. On 10 February 2018, he scored the first goal in Nashville SC history, in a friendly against Atlanta United FC. On November 14, 2018, Nashville announced that they had purchased Mensah from Inter Allies following his season-long loan. On January 29, 2020, Pittsburgh Riverhounds FC announced that they had signed Mensah to a one year contract for the 2020 season with an option for the 2021 season. Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two sports league, leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). The Nashville Sounds are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
