Nanfang Building
Nanfang Building () is a historic high-rise building in Guangzhou, China. At the time of its completion in 1922, it was the tallest building in the country. Since then, it has served as offices, department stores, electronics markets, and hotels. Guangzhou (, ; ; or ; ), also known as Canton () and alternatively romanized as Kwongchow or Kwangchow, is the capital and largest city of Guangdong province in southern China. Located on the Pearl River about north-northwest of Hong Kong and north of Macau, Guangzhou has a history of over 2,200 years and was a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road; it continues to serve as a major port and transportation hub as well as being one of China's three largest cities. For a long time, the only Chinese port accessible to most foreign traders, Guangzhou was captured by the British during the First Opium War. Aiqun Hotel
The Oi Kwan Hotel () is a hotel in Art Deco style in Guangzhou, China. At 64 metres tall with 15 floors, it surpassed the neighbouring Nanfang Building to become the tallest building in the city from upon its completion in 1937 to 1967. The hotel has a revolving restaurant on the top floor. This was the first one in the city.
