Nandi Madida
Nandi Madida née Mngoma (born 20 March 1988) is a South African singer, actress, model and television presenter. Born and raised in Maphumulo, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, She rose to stardom after she was featured by DJ Franky as a vocalist on single "Tonight", which was released (2012). Having signed with Universal Music Group in 2011, Madida released her self-titled debut studio album ''Nandi'' (2012). Life and career Madida was born in Maphumulo and was raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. She went to Danville Park Girls High School, after finishing her matric she went to study law at University of KwaZulu-Natal, UKZN and later to Varsity College, even though her initial plan was to pursue journalism. Madida has been a dancer and model since childhood. She won the Miss Junior RSA title when she was eight. Maphumulo
Maphumulo is a town in Ilembe District Municipality in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. Settlement some 42 km north-west of Stanger and 38 km south-east of Kranskop. Named after the Mapumulo Zulu people who came to live here after being driven out by Shaka; the name is said to mean ‘heaven of rest’. This village had a trading store (owned by J.O. Gateway Theatre of Shopping or Gateway is a shopping centre located on uMhlanga Ridge in UMhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, uMhlanga, north of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Gateway Theatre of Shopping is one of the top 100 largest malls in the world. The shopping centre is currently under its 5th and largest expansion in 16 years. Gateway sees more than two million visitors coming through its doors per month. The centre was modelled on the Mall of America and West Edmonton Mall centres and was developed by Old Mutual, Old Mutual Properties. The construction and opening of Gateway Theatre of Shopping has also been the driving force for many new developments in the area. South Africa Music Awards
The South African Music Awards (often simply the SAMAs) are the Recording Industry of South Africa's music industry awards, established in 1995. The ceremony is held annually, usually in late April or May, with the judging process starting in November of the previous year. The nominations are typically announced at the end of March. The winners receive a gold-plated statuette called a SAMA. The show has mostly been held at the Super Bowl in Sun City, with the exception of three years, and broadcast live on national broadcaster, SABC. ''Black Is King'' is a 2020 American musical film and visual album directed, written, and executive produced by American singer Beyoncé. It is a visual companion to the 2019 album '' The Lion King: The Gift'', curated by Beyoncé for ''The Lion King'' (2019). SABC 2 is a South African family public television channel owned by the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). SABC 2 broadcasts programming in English, Sepedi, Afrikaans, Venda, and Tsonga. The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is a university with five campuses in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.
