Nadéah
Nadéah Miranda (born 31 December 1980) is an Australian singer-songwriter, model, and actress. She is the cofounder of the group The Lovegods and sang with the band Nouvelle Vague before she began a solo career under the name Nadéah. She has released three solo albums, ''Venus Gets Even'' (2011), ''While the Heart Beats'' (2016) and ''Milk Teeth'' (2019). Early life and education Miranda was born in Melbourne to a Serbian/Portuguese/Anglo-Indian mother and an Italian father. She gave her first solo performance at age 12, in a school song festival, and at about this time she began writing songs. She went on to perform in annual school productions at various TV and modelling work during her teens. After finishing secondary school, she was accepted into the Victorian College of Arts to study visual and performance art, but did not attend. Nouvelle Vague (band)
Nouvelle Vague is a French cover band led by musicians Olivier Libaux and Marc Collin. Their name means "new wave" in French, and refers simultaneously to the French New Wave cinema movement of the 1960s, to the new wave music movement of the 1970s and 1980s, which provides many of the songs that the band covers, and to bossa nova (Portuguese for "new wave"), a musical style that the band frequently uses in its arrangements. The group's recordings and live performances have featured a large rotating cast of mostly female vocalists. Several of the artists who have performed with the band have also had successful solo careers, including Camille, Phoebe Killdeer, Mélanie Pain, and Nadéah Miranda. ''3'' (also known as ''NV3'') is the third studio album by the French band Nouvelle Vague. It was released 16 June 2009 on Peacefrog Records. As with their previous releases, the album consists entirely of cover versions of post-punk and new wave songs from the 1970s and 1980s. Four of the tracks are performed as duets, featuring the song's original vocalist performing alongside one of Nouvelle Vague's female singers. Production The band draws on a broader range of musical styles compared to their earlier albums; the covers here are inspired by blues and country music in addition to the familiar bossa nova and jazz.
