N. V. Raghuram is a yoga guru from India. Biography After completing Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Regional Engineering College Bhopal now Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, in 1970 Raghuram worked as engineer in various departments until 1998 when he resigned his job to devote more time in the service of yoga and Indian philosophy. In 1978 he took training in Kanyakumari and started his association with Vivekananda Kendra and since 1980, he is associated with Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Anusandhana Samsthan, (Yoga Research Foundation VKYOGAS). Mr. Raghuram is the International coordinator and senior yoga teacher of (VKYOGAS) presently known as sVYASA ( Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana University). He is the Chairman of Yoga Bharati Movement since 2003. Kanyakumari
Kanniyakumari (; , referring to Devi Kanya Kumari), also known as Cape Comorin, is a city in Kanniyakumari district in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent and the southernmost city in mainland India, thus referred to as 'The Land's End'. The city is situated south of Thiruvananthapuram city, and about south of Nagercoil, the headquarters of Kanniyakumari district. British Wheel Of Yoga
The British Wheel of Yoga was set up in 1965 by Wilfred Clark as a co-ordinating body for yoga groups throughout Britain that welcomed all schools of thought. It provides level 4 yoga teacher training leading to the Certificate in Yoga Teaching and the Diploma in Teaching Yoga. It is recognised by Sport England as the governing body of yoga in Britain. Its sister organisation, The British Wheel of Yoga Qualifications, provides accreditation to other British yoga teaching organisations. Origins The organisation was founded as the ''Wheel of British Yoga'' in 1965 by Wilfred Clark, who had started giving evening classes in yoga in 1961. Vivekananda Kendra
__NOTOC__ Vivekananda Kendra is a Hindu nationalist social service and "nation-building" organisation, claiming to represent the heritage of Swami Vivekananda. Closely affiliated with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the organisation is based near the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari. Indian Philosophy
Indian philosophy refers to philosophical traditions of the Indian subcontinent. A traditional Hindu classification divides āstika and nāstika schools of philosophy, depending on one of three alternate criteria: whether it believes the Vedas as a valid source of knowledge; whether the school believes in the premises of Brahman and Atman; and whether the school believes in afterlife and Devas. There are six major schools of Vedic philosophy— Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Samkhya, Yoga, Mīmāṃsā and Vedanta, and five major heterodox (sramanic) schools—Jain, Buddhist, Ajivika, Ajñana, and Charvaka.
