Murat Yakin
Murat Yakin ( tr, Yakın; born 15 September 1974) is a Swiss football coach and former player. He is the manager of the Switzerland national football team. Playing career Yakin spent the longest spell of his career playing for his hometown club FC Basel, where he was the defensive linchpin, captain and libero of a team which enjoyed domestic and relative European success. He won the Swiss Super League on five occasions (1995, 1996, 2002, 2004, 2005), and the Swiss Cup three times (1994, 2002, 2003). He recalls the 2002–03 Champions League second leg qualifying match on 28 August 2002 against Celtic in St. Jakob-Park as the "match of his life". Basel won the game 2–0, with Yakin scoring the second goal in the 22-minute as Basel qualified 3–3 on the away goals rule for the 2002–03 UEFA Champions League group stage. Rolf is a male given name and a surname. Christian Brand
Christian Brand (born 23 May 1972) is a German football coach and former player who coaches Werder Bremen youth teams. Playing career A midfielder, Brand began his career at VfB Oldenburg and made his debut for the club on 27 August 1991 in a match against FC St. Pauli. In his first season Brand played 13 games as Oldenburg narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing in second place behind Bayer Uerdingen. Coaching career After retiring from football, Brand became the new assistant manager of FC Thun in the summer 2007. On 7 January 2008, he was appointed as a youth coach of the FC Luzern. After the former coach Rolf Fringer was sacked on 2 May 2011, he was named caretaker manager of the Luzern first team and will be replaced by Murat Yakin at the end of the season. The 2010–11 Swiss Super League was the 114th season of top-tier football in Switzerland. It began on 17 July 2010 and ended on 25 May 2011. The league comprised ten teams. FC Basel successfully defended their league title, maintaining a one-point edge over runners-up FC Zürich at the end of the season. It was the 14th league title overall for the club. Teams FC Aarau were relegated after finishing in last place of the table after the 2009–10 season. They were replaced by 2009–10 Challenge League champions FC Thun. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps.
