Mount Morungole
Mount Morungole lies within the Kidepo Valley National Park, north-east Uganda, Africa. It is in the rugged, semi-arid Karamoja Karamoja sub-region, commonly known as Karamoja, is a region in Uganda. It covers an area of 27,528km and comprises Kotido District, Kaabong District, Karenga District, Nabilatuk District Abim District, Moroto District, Napak District, Amuda ... province near the border with the Sudan. Neighbouring peaks are Mount Zulia, and the Labwor and Dodoth Hills reach heights in excess of 2,000 meters. The local inhabitants were the Ik, who were moved by a previous administration. Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo Valley National Park is a national park in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda. Kidepo is rugged savannah, dominated by the Mount Morungole and transected by the Kidepo and Narus rivers. Mount Zulia (or Losolia) is in the Karamoja region in the north-east of Uganda in the Kidepo Valley National Park. Mount Morungole and the Labwor and Dodoth Hills, which reach heights in excess of , are nearby. Mount Zulia is high. The Toposa people of Eastern Equatoria say that they originated in the Losolia Mountains, moving away during a severe drought that killed both people and animals. Ik People
The Ik people (sometimes called Teuso although that term is derogatory) are an ethnic group in northeastern Uganda near the border with Kenya. The group is unarmed and habitually peaceful, numbering approximately 13,939 people. They have experienced and been affected by various human rights violations, including forced evictions and/or exclusions from ancestral lands and natural resources, with 70% of the land lost to conservation initiatives, as well as violence and destruction of property, which result in continued impoverishment, social and political exploitation and marginalisation. Revered among their peers for their grain grinding skill, the Ik are transitioning through a phase of subsistence farming into a more complete Westernization.
