Robert Fulton School
Robert Fulton School is a historic school building located in the Morton, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Morton neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. History and architectural features Designed by Irwin T. Catharine, this historic structure was built between 1935 and 1937. It is a three-story, brick and limestone building that was created in the Moderne architecture, Moderne style. It features ribbon bands of windows, large brick piers, a main entrance tower, and historical figures holding lamps of enlightenment and knowledge. Northwest Philadelphia is a section of the city of Philadelphia. The official boundary is Stenton Avenue to the north, the Schuylkill River to the southwest, Northwestern Avenue to the northwest, Roosevelt Boulevard to the south, and Wister Street and Stenton Avenue to the east. The area is divided by Wissahickon Creek into two subsections, Upper Northwest and Lower Northwest Philadelphia. West Oak Lane
West Oak Lane is a neighborhood in the Northwestern Philadelphia. The neighborhood was developed primarily between the early 1920s and late 1930s, with the areas near to Cedarbrook constructed after World War II. At the northeast corner of Limekiln Pike and Washington Lane was the site of the Cedar Park Inn, a historic tavern built in the early 19th century, which was torn down sometime after 1931 as the neighborhood was being fully developed. Although it was predominantly Caucasian from its inception until the mid-1960s, West Oak Lane is now one of Philadelphia's middle-class African American communities. The neighborhood is known throughout the city for its jazz festival. The West Oak Lane Jazz Festival has been held in mid-June since 2003. Mount Airy is a neighborhood of Northwest Philadelphia in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania. __TOC__ Geography Mount Airy is bounded on the northwest by the Cresheim Valley, which is part of Fairmount Park. Beyond this lies Chestnut Hill. On the west side is the Wissahickon Gorge, which is also part of Fairmount Park, beyond which lies Roxborough and Manayunk. Mennonite Meetinghouse
Mennonite Meetinghouse (Germantown Mennonite Church) is a historic Mennonite church building at 6119 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The first settlers in Germantown in 1683 were Dutch or Germans recruited by William Penn. Most of the settlers had a Mennonite background but joined the Quaker meeting. By about 1690 several families attended non-Quaker services and they built a log church in 1708. This church was the first Mennonite Church in America. William Rittenhouse was the first minister.
