MoonTV
MoonTV was a free Finnish cable network channel. It started off as a channel for programmes about computer and video games but later grew into a channel covering several areas of youth culture. In its prime it was the first interactive TV channel in the world. At its best MoonTV could reach 1.3 million potential viewers in the 12 biggest cities across Finland. In 2003 the channel was shut down after the company that owned it filed for bankruptcy. MoonTV was relaunched in 2010 online with new hosts and a new program line-up. People Mika Koivula and Hannu and Pekka Kossila were the founding members of MoonTV. Koivula came up with the name "MoonTV" back in 1996. Pekka Kossila was in charge of creating economical interactive TV formats which were the core of the channel when it started its test broadcasts in November 1996. Elias Poutanen
Elias Poutanen (also known by his alias ''Olmoor'') is a former host/computer-game critic. He has worked for the magazine ''Pelaaja'' and for a number of related television programmes. Though officially a Finnish citizen, he was born in Australia. He started out as the replacement for Thomas Puha who previously hosted the programme called ''Play'' on MoonTV. The name of the show was changed to ''Player'' during this transition. He became noted by some fans as the channel's ''cute nerd''. He remained the official host for all console-gaming involved shows until MoonTV's cancellation in the early summer of 2003. After MoonTV's demise, Poutanen appeared only abruptly on television. Though he resurfaced as a critic on the show ''Play'' on Nelonen, hosted by former MoonTV personnel, Thomas Puha and Miika Huttunen. The Dudesons ( fi, Duudsonit) are a Finnish entertainment group. They are best known for their TV shows and live performances, which are a combination of stunts and comedy. Their early TV shows were similar to '' Jackass''. Starting their television career in the early 2000s, they gained international fame and had a show on the American television channel MTV in 2010. After ''The Dudesons in America'', the group started to shift from the stunts to more multidimensional careers. Jarno Sarkula
Jarno Sarkula (4 August 1973 – 12 July 2020) was a Finnish musician and one-time TV-personality. Sarkula was born in Vantaa. As a musician, he first became known with the band Höyry-kone ("Steam-Engine"). Sarkula wrote music for the band and played the bass and woodwinds. The music of the band took influences from e.g. the opera. In 1997, Sarkula founded the band Alamaailman Vasarat together with Teemu Hänninen. After developing the band's music for a couple of years, they began to play in public. The band took its influences from jazz, classical music, rock and klezmer. ''Dresscode'' was a Finnish fashion TV-series airing on MoonTV. It was hosted by master tailor Arman Alizad. The series run for three seasons, from 2001 to 2003. Arman Alizad (born 12 January 1971) is an Iranian-Finnish master tailor, fashion columnist and TV personality. He is best known for the martial arts series ''Kill Arman'', which has aired in over 100 countries around the world. Alizad has also hosted several other Finnish TV series, such as '' Dresscode'', ''Unisex'', ''Loman Tarpeessa'' and ''Arman Reilaa''. Early life Alizad was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1971. Prior to this he was a host of certain game-related television programmes primarily on the now defunct MoonTV cable channel.
