Monster X
is a 2004 ''kaiju'' film directed by Ryuhei Kitamura, written by Isao Kiriyama and Wataru Mimura, and produced by Shogo Tomiyama. An international co-production between Japan, Australia, the United States, and China, the film was produced by Toho Studios, CP International, Zazou Productions, and Napalm Films. It is the 29th film in the ''Godzilla'' franchise, the sixth and final film in the franchise's Millennium series and the 28th Godzilla film produced by Toho. The film stars Masahiro Matsuoka, Rei Kikukawa, Don Frye, Maki Mizuno, Kazuki Kitamura, Kane Kosugi, Kumi Mizuno, Kenji Sahara, Masami Nagasawa, Chihiro Otsuka, Shigeru Izumiya, Masakatsu Funaki, Masato Ibu, Jun Kunimura, and Akira Takarada. Noriyoshi Ohrai
was a Japanese illustrator. He is famous for illustrating the international version of ''The Empire Strikes Back'' poster and several ''Godzilla'' film posters during the political Heisei period. His son, Ohrai Taro is also an artist in Japan. Personal life Noriyoshi Ohrai was born in Akashi, Hyogo prefecture, Japan in 1935. After studying at (but not graduating from) the Art department of Tokyo University of the Arts, he began to work as an illustrator since 1962. In 1973 he moved to Miyazaki-city, Miyazaki prefecture where his wife came from. In 1980, his image illustration of ''Star Wars'' which he posted to a science fiction magazine caught the eye of George Lucas. At Lucas' request, Ohrai illustrated the poster that was used internationally for ''Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back'', which made him famous internationally. Jun Kunimura
is a Japanese actor who has performed in Japan, Hollywood and Hong Kong. He won Best Supporting Actor and the Popular Star Award at the 37th Blue Dragon Film Awards for his performance in the South Korean horror film '' The Wailing'', directed by Na Hong-jin. Early life and education Kunimura was born Yoshihiro Yonemura (米村 喜洋 ''Yonemura Yoshihiro'') in Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture, but his family moved to Amagasaki, Hyōgo Prefecture soon after, before moving again to Osaka when he was two years old. Manda (kaiju)
is a fictional monster, or ''kaiju'', which first appeared in Ishirō Honda's 1963 film ''Atragon'', produced and distributed by Toho. Manda is based on a Japanese dragon, and is depicted as a giant sea-dwelling serpent which can survive on land. Manda's roars were created through recordings of lions bellowing.
