Milton Duncan McVicar
Milton Duncan McVicar (September 18, 1893 – February 3, 1938) was a farmer and politician in Ontario, Canada. He represented Lambton East in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1934 to 1938 as a Liberal. The son of Peter McVicar and Annie Kerr, both natives of Scotland, he was born in Enniskillen, Ontario and was educated in Petrolia. McVicar was reeve for Enniskillen from 1925 to 1934, serving as warden for Lambton County in 1932. Thomas Howard Fraleigh
Thomas Howard Fraleigh (June 28, 1877 – January 29, 1946) was an Ontario farmer and political figure. He represented Lambton East in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1929 to 1934 as a Conservative member. He was born in St. Marys, Ontario, the son of Sidney Fraleigh, and was educated there. In 1902, he married Winnifred Anderson. He belonged to the local Masonic lodge. Fraleigh grew flax and hemp near Forest, Ontario. Fraleigh also pioneered techniques to make more efficient use of pasture land when raising of livestock. Fraleigh coordinated Canadian flax production in World War I: flax was shipped to Ireland to produce linen for use in the manufacture of airplane wings. Fraleigh also experimented with the production of hemp for use in manufacturing fibres. Charles Oliver Fairbank (June 6, 1904 - 1982) was an Ontario petroleum engineer and political figure. Petrolia is a town in southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is part of Lambton County and is surrounded by Enniskillen Township. It is billed as "Canada's Victorian Oil Town" and is often credited with starting the oil industry in North America, a claim shared with the nearby town of Oil Springs. Lambton County is a county in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It is bordered on the north by Lake Huron, which is drained by the St. Clair River, the county's western border and part of the Canada-United States border. To the south is Lake Saint Clair and Chatham-Kent. Lambton County's northeastern border follows the Ausable River and Parkhill Creek north until it reaches Lake Huron at the beach community of Grand Bend.
