Mikhail Kokshenov
Mikhail Mikhailovich Kokshenov (16 September 1936, Moscow – 4 June 2020, Krasnogorsky District, Moscow Oblast) was a Soviet and Russian actor, film director and screenwriter. People's Artist of Russia (2002). Biography Mikhail Kokshenov was born on 16 September 1936 in Moscow. He spent his childhood in the Zamoskvorechye District. The actor's parents in the 1930s lived in the Far East of the USSR: in the village of Monomakhovo, the Far Eastern Krai, now the Dalnegorsky District of the Primorsky Krai. In 1957 he graduated from the Moscow Industrial College, after which he worked as an engineer for the management of Glavnefterudprom. In 1963 he graduated from the Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute. He worked as an actor at the Mayakovsky Theatre. In 1966 he moved to the Moscow Theater of Miniatures and began to act in films in parallel. In 1974 he moved to the Theater-Studio of the Film Actor. The Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute (russian: Театральный институт имени Бориса Щукина) is a Russian drama college in Moscow, formed in 1914 as part of the Vakhtangov Theatre. Novodevichy Cemetery ( rus, Новоде́вичье кла́дбище, Novodevichye kladbishche) is a cemetery in Moscow. It lies next to the southern wall of the 16th-century Novodevichy Convent, which is the city's third most popular tourist site. History The cemetery was designed by Ivan Mashkov and inaugurated in 1898. Its importance dates from the 1930s, when the necropolises of the medieval Muscovite monasteries ( Simonov, Danilov, Donskoy) were scheduled for demolition. Only the Donskoy survived the Joseph Stalin era relatively intact.
