Mie Højlund
Mie Enggrob Højlund (born 24 October 1997) is a Danish handball player for Odense Håndbold and the Danish national team. Højlund can play both right back and left back, but has said publicly, that she prefers the left back position. Club Career Højlund played on the Randers HK youth teams, and in 2014 she became a part of the senior team. She scored a total of 30 goals in her debut season. In the first years she was the back up to national team player Jane Schumacher. In the fall of 2016 she became the first choice on the playmaker position. That season Randers HK won the Danish Women's Handball Cup with a surprise win over FC Midtjylland Håndbold. She ended the season as the second top scorer in the league with 89 goals. This prompted a move to the Danish top club Odense Håndbold, with whom she came second in the 2017–18 Damehåndboldligaen. In 2019 she further extended the contract at Odense Håndbold until 2024. Favrskov Municipality
Favrskov Municipality ( da, Favrskov Kommune, ) is a municipality in Central Denmark Region in Denmark north of Aarhus and is a part of the Aarhus area. According to municipal and regional key figures the municipality covers an area of and had a population of 47,177 as of 1 April 2014. The largest towns within the municipality are Hadsten, Hinnerup and Hammel. Favrskov Municipality was created on 1 January 2007 as a result of ''Kommunalreformen'' ("The Municipal Reform" of 2007). Danish Women's Handball League
The Danish Women's Handball League ( da, Damehåndboldligaen) is the top professional league for Denmark, Danish women's Team handball, handball clubs. It is administered by the Danish Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Danish champions. The league is officially called Bambusa Kvindeligaen for sponsorship reasons. It has previously been known as HTH GO Ligaen, Primo Tours Ligaen, Boxer Dameligaen, TOMS Ligaen and GuldBageren Ligaen. The current title holder is Odense Håndbold (2022). The European Handball Federation (EHF) ranks the Danish league 4th in the coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the past seasons. 2017 World Women's Handball Championship
The 2017 IHF World Women's Handball Championship, the 23rd event hosted by the International Handball Federation, was held in Germany from 1 to 17 December 2017. Germany was the only applicant for this championship. Germany was host of the World Championships in 1965 and 1997. 2016 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2016 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Sweden from 4 to 18 December 2016. It was the second time that Sweden hosts the tournament, after it also hosted the 2006 European Women's Handball Championship. Sweden was awarded the championship on the European Handball Federation, EHF Congress in Monaco on 23 June 2012. Norway won their seventh title after a 30–29 victory over the Netherlands.
