Mie Højlund
Mie Enggrob Højlund (born 24 October 1997) is a Danish handball player for Odense Håndbold and the Denmark women's national handball team, Danish national team. Højlund can play both right back and left back, but has said publicly, that she prefers the left back position. Club career Højlund played on the Randers HK youth teams, and in 2014 she became a part of the senior team. She scored a total of 30 goals in her debut season. In the first years she was the back up to national team player Jane Schumacher. In the fall of 2016 she became the first choice on the playmaker position. That season Randers HK won the Danish Women's Handball Cup with a surprise win over FC Midtjylland Håndbold. She ended the season as the second top scorer in the league with 89 goals. This prompted a move to the Danish top club Odense Håndbold, with whom she came second in the 2017–18 Damehåndboldligaen. Favrskov Municipality
Favrskov Municipality (, ) is a Commune (subnational entity), municipality in Central Denmark Region in Denmark north of Aarhus and is a part of the Aarhus area. According to municipal and regional key figures the municipality covers an area of and had a population of 49,359 as of 1. January 2025. 2015 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship
The 2015 European Women's U-19 Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the European Women's U-19 Handball Championship, held in Valencia, Spain from 23 July to 2 August 2015. Sixteen teams participated on the tournament, including the fifteen qualifying winners and the host nation. Sweden was the defending champions, but didn't reached the final, after getting defeated by Denmark in the semifinals. Denmark won the tournament, with a 29-26 win against Russia. Team Esbjerg
Team Esbjerg is a professional women's handball team based in Esbjerg, Denmark, that competes in the Bambusa Kvindeligaen and the 2024–25 Women's EHF Champions League. They play their home matches in Blue Water Dokken, which have capacity for 2,996 spectators. They play games in red shirts and black shorts. The coaching team consists of Swedish international Tomas Axnér and Christian Køhler. History Team Esbjerg was founded in 1991, as a cooperation between KVIK Esbjerg and Esbjerg Håndboldklub (EHK). They competed in the Danish Handball League for the first time in 1999, but they relegated the following year. They have been part of the league since 2004. 2024-25 Damehåndboldligaen
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). As there is no coxswain, the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. Aarhus United
Aarhus United was a Danish women's handball club based in Aarhus. They played in Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier women's handball league. Aarhus United was founded in 2017 and took over SK Aarhus's league license for the 2017-18 season. In June 2024, it was announced that the club and another Aarhus based handball team Aarhus HC had decided to merge under the new club name Aarhus Håndbold. Aarhus United was founded as a reaction to the closing of the former Aarhus club SK Århus closing. The previous club had to close as the head sponsor withdrew, and the economy was not good enough to maintain the club. In their first season the club signed all former SK Århus players, and added Birna Berg Haraldsdóttir, June Bøttger, Louise Kristensen and Ditte Vind. Heine Eriksen was made the head coach. The 2017–18 Damehåndboldligaen (known as ''HTH GO Ligaen'' for sponsorship reasons) was the 82nd season of Damehåndboldligaen, Denmark's premier handball league. Nykøbing Falster Håndboldklub were the defending champions. København Håndbold won their first ever title, when they beat Odense Håndbold in the final. Danish Women's Handball Cup
The Danish Women's Handball Cup (), known as the Santander Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the main domestic cup tournament for Danish women's handball clubs, which is partially organised and supervised by the Danish Handball Federation. The competition has been played annually since 1964. Tournament structure The initial fase of the tournament is split in two. They are managed by the three regional federations, Jydsk Håndbold Forbund (JHF) in Jutland, and Håndboldregion Øst (HRØ) in Sealand together with Fyns Håndbold Forbund (FHF) in fyn. The western half of the initial tournament lasts 7 rounds, while the eastern half lasts 6 round. After the initial fase the DHF taking over the tournament at the round of 16. At the round of 16 and onwards, there are no longer geographical considerations, when drawing the matches.
