Michael McGeady (born 11 May 1978) is an Irish professional golfer. He turned professional in 2005. He tied for second in the 2006 Ireland Ryder Cup Challenge and secured his first win as a professional in 2008 at the SWALEC Wales Challenge. In October 2013, he won the Irish PGA Championship at Roganstown. Derry, officially Londonderry (), is the second-largest city in Northern Ireland and the fifth-largest city on the island of Ireland. In Irish mythology, Cian or Cían (), nicknamed Scal Balb, was the son of Dian Cecht, the physician of the Tuatha Dé Danann, and best known as the father of Lugh Lamhfada. 2005 European Amateur Team Championship
The 2005 European Amateur Team Championship took place 28 June – 2 July at Hillside Golf Club in Southport, England. It was the 24th men's golf European Amateur Team Championship. Venue The club was founded in 1911. The course, located in Southport, 20 kilometres north of the city center of Liverpool, England, is a links course, with all the holes being between and on mainly large dunes and local indigenous pinewoods, typical of the area. It is physically close to both the Royal Birkdale Golf Club, near its south-western boundaries, and to the Southport and Ainsdale Golf Club. The European Amateur Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for men organised by the European Golf Association which was introduced in 1959. The championship was played in odd-numbered years from 1959 to 2007 and has been played annually since 2008 (with the exception of 2012). Joel Nils Patricio Sjöholm (born 21 February 1985) is a Swedish professional golfer, who currently plays on the Challenge Tour. He has won twice on the Challenge Tour; in 2017 and 2022. Early life He was born in Chile and was adopted by a Swedish family when three months old.
