Mic Tyson
''Mic Tyson'' is the third solo studio album by American rapper Sean Price. It was released on October 30, 2012 through Duck Down Records. Production was handled by Alchemist, Beat Butcha, Eric G, Evidence, 9th Wonder, AMP, Khrysis and Wool. It features guest appearances from Buckshot, Ill Bill, Pharoahe Monch, Pumpkinhead, Realm Reality, Ruste Juxx, Torae, Ike Eyes and Freddie Gibbs. The album sold 7,000 copies in its first week and debuted at number 58 on the ''Billboard'' 200. "STFU, Part 2" was released as a promotional single with animated music video directed by the Chain Gang. It was the last album to be released in Price's lifetime before his death on August 8, 2015. Background Sean Price announced the album to the public in mid-2009 by releasing a mixtape titled ''Kimbo Price: A Prelude to Mic Tyson'', which contains 23 tracks. Sean Duval Price (March 17, 1972August 8, 2015) was an American rapper and member of the hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik. He was one half of the duo Heltah Skeltah, performing under the name Ruck, along with partner Rock. Early life and education Growing up in the borough of Brooklyn, Price was a member of the Decepticons in high school. Career A member of the underground hip hop collective Boot Camp Clik, Price first appeared on Smif-N-Wessun's 1995 album ''Dah Shinin'''. Pumpkinhead (rapper)
Robert Alan Diaz (September 17, 1975 – June 9, 2015) known by his stage name Pumpkinhead or P.H., was an American rapper and hip hop artist. He grew up in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, New York with his mother and younger sister. Music career Pumpkinhead started writing rap lyrics at age 10 during his 6th grade language arts class after hearing the song "Nightmares" by Dana Dane. He also stated he was influenced by Redman and the Leaders of the New School, as well as Doug E. Fresh. Charles Stewart (born June 26, 1971), better known as Chali 2na, is an American painter and rapper, associated with the groups Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli. Fredrick Jamel Tipton (born June 14, 1982), better known by his stage name Freddie Gibbs, is an American rapper from Gary, Indiana. After initially being signed to Interscope Records in 2006, Gibbs recorded his debut studio album under the label. However, he was eventually dropped and the album was cancelled.
