Martin Visser born on the 10th of July 1968 is a Dutch fashion designer from Sleeuwijk, Netherlands. He studied fashion and design at the Hoge School Amsterdam, The Amsterdam Fashion Academy (formerly known as Charles Montaigne) and the Saga International Design Centre in Copenhagen. He has had his own collection since 1993. The Hogeschool van Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences (HvA), or Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), is a large institute for higher professional education in the Netherlands, established in 1993. The HvA mainly offers bachelor's degree programmes, but also has a number of (professional) master's degree programmes. For students from the HvA's international partner institutes it is possible to study at the HvA as an exchange student. The HvA offers eighty courses of study, spread across locations in Amsterdam. The university maintains ties with the University of Amsterdam. The HvA's 2,300 employees serve more than 40,000 students. An important way of learning is via work placements. Sleeuwijk
Sleeuwijk is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant and part of the municipality of Altena. History The village was first mentioned in 1268 as "Tyberio de Slewijck" and is a combination of neighbourhood and blunt. The village is known for its ferry to Gorinchem which has been known to exist since 1327. During the 20th century, the ferry caused long delays, and was replaced by the in 1961. In 2017, it was announced that the Merwedebrug which be replaced by a wider bridge, because it has become too narrow. Historically, it was part of the Land of Altena and was administered by Woudrichem. Since about 1815, Sleeuwijk had been part of the municipality of De Werken en Sleeuwijk. Sleeuwijk was home to 380 people in 1840. This had an area of 2111 ha.
