Marketing Hall Of Fame
The Marketing Hall of Fame was launched by the members of the New York chapter of the American Marketing Association, the creators of the Effies and the GreenBook. The American Marketing Association (AMA) is a professional association for marketing professionals with 30,000 members as of 2012. It has 76 professional chapters and 250 collegiate chapters across the United States. The AMA was formed in from the merger of two predecessor organizations, the National Association of Marketing Teachers and the American Marketing Society. Leonard Trevor Edwards (born 24 January 1937) is a former Wales international footballer. A defender, he played his club football for Charlton Athletic. Lee Clow (born 1943) is the chairman and global director of TBWA\Worldwide, and had been its chief creative officer. ''Advertising Age'' referred to him as "advertising's art director guru". Seth W. Godin is an American author and former dot com business executive. Background After leaving Spinnaker in 1986, he used $20,000 in savings to found Seth Godin Productions, primarily a book packaging business, out of a studio apartment in New York City. Bob Greenberg
Bob Greenberg (May 8, 1934September 11, 2009) was an American record executive. During his 50-year career as a record executive Greenberg worked with several companies including Warner Brothers, Atlantic Records, MGM/United Artists Records, and Mirage Records. Greenberg was born in New Haven, Connecticut. His first job in the music business was as a promoter for Eastern Allied Associated Record Distributors. From there he moved to Warner Brothers, eventually relocating to Los Angeles. His brother, Jerry Greenberg, recruited him to work at Atlantic, and the two co-founded Mirage. He worked with several successful artists including The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Whitesnake. Later in his career he became the president of ''Hitmakers'' magazine. Alfred Paul Ries (November 14, 1926 – October 7, 2022) was an American marketing professional and author. He was the cofounder and chairman of the Atlanta-based consulting firm Ries & Ries with his partner and daughter, Laura Ries. Along with Jack Trout, Ries is credited with resurrecting the idea of " positioning" in the field of marketing. Rochelle "Shelly" Lazarus (born 1947) is the Chairman Emeritus of Ogilvy & Mather. Early life and career Lazarus is the daughter of Lewis and Sylvia Braff and the grand daughter of May and Adolph Eisenberg. She graduated from Midwood High School in Brooklyn, NY before going to Smith College. Lazarus also obtained an MBA from Columbia Business School.
