Marek Jürgenson (born 9 September 1977 in Tartu) is an Estonian politician. He has been member of XIV Riigikogu. In 2000 he graduated from University of Tartu in business administration. 2005-2009 he was the Elder of Tallinn Kesklinn District. 2012-2019 he was the Elder of Haabersti District. Tartu is the second largest city in Estonia after the Northern European country's political and financial capital, Tallinn. Tartu has a population of 91,407 (as of 2021). The Estonian Centre Party ( et, Eesti Keskerakond, EK) is a populist political party in Estonia. It was founded in 1991 as a direct successor of the Popular Front of Estonia, and it is currently led by Jüri Ratas. The party was founded on 12 October 1991 from the basis of the Popular Front of Estonia after several parties split from it. At that time, the party was called the People's Centre Party (''Rahvakeskerakond'') in order to differentiate from the smaller centre-right Rural Centre Party (''Maa-Keskerakond'').
