Manjari Makijany
Manjari Makijany is an Indian writer, director and producer who works on American and Hindi films. She is best known for her award-winning short films, ''The Last Marble'' (2012) and ''The Corner Table (2014)''. Early life Makijany is the daughter of Bollywood actor Mac Mohan and cousin of actress Raveena Tandon. Career Makijany was one of eight women chosen to participate in the AFI Conservatory, AFI Conservatory's Directing Workshop for Women in 2016. She is the second Indian to participate in the program since its inception in 1974. As part of the AFI DWW she directed, ''I See You (2016)'', a dramatic thriller about a suicide bomber who has a change of heart on the New York City Subway. She is also one of 25 Women selected to participant in the inaugural Fox Filmmakers Lab in 2017. Mac Mohan
Mohan Makijany (24 April 1938 – 10 May 2010), popularly known as Mac Mohan, was an Indian actor, who worked in Hindi cinema. He was known for his villainous roles in films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He appeared in over 200 films, including ''Don'', ''Karz'', ''Satte Pe Satta'', ''Zanjeer'', '' Rafoo Chakkar'', ''Shaan'', ''Khoon Pasina'', and ''Sholay''. Early life and career Mac Mohan was born in Karachi in British India. Mohan came to Bombay to become a cricketer, but joined theatre and became a Bollywood actor. Tom Alter
Thomas Beach Alter (22 June 1950 – 29 September 2017) was an Indian actor. He was best known for his works in Hindi cinema, and Indian theatre. In 2008, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Early life Born in Mussoorie in present-day Uttarakhand, Alter was the son of American Presbyterian missionaries of English, Scottish and Swiss German ancestry and lived for years in Mumbai and the Himalayan hill station of Landour. His grandparents migrated to Madras, India from Ohio, U.S., in November 1916. From there, they moved to and settled in Lahore, in present-day Pakistan. His father was born in Sialkot.
