Maicel Uibo (born 27 December 1992) is an Estonian decathlete. While competing for the University of Georgia, he won the 2014 and 2015 NCAA championships in decathlon. Põlva
Põlva () is a town in southeastern Estonia, the capital of Põlva County, and the centre of Põlva Parish. Põlva is home for the Intsikurmu Song Festival Grounds, which regularly hosts concerts and summer activities, situated in a small forested area on the west side of the town. Athletics at the 2016 Summer Olympics were held during the last 10 days of the games, from 12 to 21 August 2016, at the Olympic Stadium. The sport of athletics at the 2016 Summer Olympics was made into three distinct sets of events: track and field events, road running events, and racewalking events. Competition schedule Track and field events were held at João Havelange Olympic Stadium, while the race walks and marathon start and finish in Recreio dos Bandeirantes and Sambódromo, respectively. The men's decathlon at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Beijing National Stadium on 28 and 29 August. The overwhelming favorite here had to be the World Record Holder, Olympic Champion and defending Champion, Ashton Eaton. This was Eaton's first decathlon of the year. American Trey Hardee entered as the world leader. Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games champion and returning bronze medalist Damian Warner and returning silver medalist and Götzis winner Michael Schrader were also medal contenders. Eaton won the first event, the 100 metres in 10.23, a World Championship Decathlon best and #139 in the world, but slightly off world record pace. The 2015 IAAF World Championships ( zh, 第十五届世界田径锦标赛), the fifteenth edition of the IAAF World Championships, were held from 22 to 30 August at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. Forty-three nations won medals, 144 of which were awarded. Kenya topped the medal table for the first time, with 7 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals. The United States won 18 medals, six gold, six silver and six bronze, which was the highest tally. 2013 World Championships In Athletics – Men's Decathlon
The men's decathlon at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics was held at the Luzhniki Stadium on 10–11 August in Moscow, Russia. The first day ended with two Americans leading the competition, Olympic Champion and World Record holder Ashton Eaton and, surprisingly, World Junior Champion Gunnar Nixon who set a 15 cm personal record in the Long Jump, another in the Shot Put and led the field after the High Jump. After an average showing, particularly in the Shot Put and High Jump, Eaton regained the lead with 46.02 400 metres. Eaton's expected rival was defending champion and Eaton's Olympic runner up, American teammate Trey Hardee, who suffered from leg cramps and was only able to take slow, half-hearted attempts at the High Jump eventually no-heighting and dropping out.
