Mahdi Moudini
Mahdi Moudini (born Mahdi Moammer; March 14, 1979) is an Iranian illusionist best known for his stage and close-up magic around the world. He has been described as the most commercially demanded magician in Malaysia and expat celebrity. Two of his latest wonder shows were the series of Magical Moudini and levitation along the famous Kuala Lumpur Tower. Moudini currently is the International Magicians Society (IMS) ambassador to Malaysia. Early years Mahdi studied magic under the tutelage of his grandfather and father who were both performing magicians in Iran. He began performing magic when he was 5 years old, holding shows in his home city of Karaj. At the age of 18 he moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as the political situation in Tehran prohibited him in performing live stage magic. Karaj
Karaj ( fa, کرج, ) is the capital of Alborz Province, Iran, and effectively a satellite city of Tehran. Although the county hosts a population around 1.97 million, as recorded in the 2016 census, most of the county is rugged mountain. Kuala Lumpur Tower
Kuala Lumpur Tower, also known as KL Tower and KL421 is a 15-story, 420.7-meter-tall telecommunication tower in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is the world's 7th tallest tower, also, Malaysia and Southeast Asia's tallest tower. Its construction was completed on 1 March 1995. It features an antenna that increases its height to 420.7 metres (1,380 feet). The roof of the pod is at 335.7 metres (1,101 feet). The rest of the tower below has a stairwell and an elevator to reach the upper area, which also contains a revolving restaurant, providing diners with a panoramic view of the city. Races are held annually, where participants race up the stairs to the top. The tower also acts as the Islamic falak observatory to observe the crescent moon which marks the beginning of Muslim month of Ramadhan, Syawal, and Zulhijjah, to celebrate fasting month of Ramadhan, Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Aidiladha. International Magicians Society
The International Magicians Society (IMS) is a magic society created by Tony Hassini to "help promote and preserve the art of magic and provide a format where magicians could share their secrets and ideas." The society gives its own "Merlin Award" to magicians on a regular basis, though this award is not recognized in the wider community, its authenticity has been questioned, and critics allege that the award is something that can be bought in order to increase publicity. History The IMS claims on its website that it was founded in 1968, though this date has been questioned, and asserted to actually be 1994. The IMS website also claims that the Merlin Award statuette, designed by Hassini, was created in 1964 by Carol Michaud, a New York University art student. Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (MH370/MAS370) was an international passenger flight operated by Malaysia Airlines that disappeared on 8 March 2014 while flying from Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia to its planned destination, Beijing Capital International Airport.
