Myx Music Awards
The Myx Music Awards, currently known as the Myx Awards, are accolades presented by the cable channel Myx to honor the biggest hitmakers in the Philippines. The awards ceremony is held annually and occurs most commonly in March, and broadcast delayed on Myx. Myx viewers from all over the Philippines decide the winners in 17 major categories via SMS text messaging by 2010 it is 60% fan votes through internet and 40% artists votes. Sarah Geronimo has the most wins in the history of the award ceremony. San Juan, Metro Manila
San Juan, officially the City of San Juan ( fil, Lungsod ng San Juan), is a 1st class highly urbanized city in the National Capital Region of the Philippines. Smart Araneta Coliseum
The Araneta Coliseum, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Smart Araneta Coliseum, is an indoor multi-purpose arena, sports arena that is part of the Araneta City in the Cubao area of Quezon City, Philippines. Nicknamed as "the Big Dome", it is one of the largest indoor arenas in Asia, and it is also one of the largest clear span domes in the world. Myx Music Awards 2018 was the 13th installment of the Myx Music Awards, acknowledging the biggest hit makers of 2017 in the Philippine music industry. For the seventh consecutive year, fans could vote online through the Myx website. Nominees were announced on February 28, 2018 starting at 12nn via Facebook Live streaming. Leading the nominees were Jona, James Reid and Sarah Geronimo with five nominations, each. It may have been noticed that the category names were changed this year replacing the word ''Favorite'' into ''of the year''. Myx Music Awards 2017 was the 12th installment of the Myx Music Awards, acknowledging the biggest hit makers of 2016 in the Philippine music industry. For the sixth consecutive year, fans could vote online through the Myx website. Nominees were announced on February 2, 2017 starting at 5pm via Facebook Live streaming. Leading the nominees was Elmo Magalona with seven nominations. The awards night was held on March 16, 2017 at Kia Theater, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City at 8:00PM ( PST). New Frontier Theater
The New Frontier Theater, known as the Kia Theatre between 2015 and 2018, is a multi-purpose events hall in the Araneta City in Cubao, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. The theater has a 2,385 seating capacity and is used for a variety of events, ranging from performing and visual arts, local and international concerts, and fan meet-up gatherings. History First opening The theater first opened on May 27, 1967 as the New Frontier Cinema-Theater and considered to be the biggest theater in the Philippines, with a 3,500 seating capacity.
