Myx Music Awards 2018
Myx Music Awards 2018 was the 13th installment of the Myx Music Awards, acknowledging the biggest hit makers of 2017 in the Philippine music industry. For the seventh consecutive year, fans could vote online through the Myx website. Nominees were announced on February 28, 2018 starting at 12nn via Facebook Live streaming. Leading the nominees were Jona, James Reid and Sarah Geronimo with five nominations, each. It may have been noticed that the category names were changed this year replacing the word ''Favorite'' into ''of the year''. This year also marks the return of Favorite MYX Bandarito Performance category which was last included in 2010. For the first time in history of the awards, Twitter Philippines given MYX Music Awards 2018 an exclusive emoji for using hashtags #MYXMusicAwards2018 and #MMAs2018. The Araneta Coliseum, also currently known by naming rights sponsorship as Smart Araneta Coliseum, is an indoor multi-purpose arena, sports arena that is part of the Araneta City in the Cubao area of Quezon City, Philippines. Nicknamed as "the Big Dome", it is one of the largest indoor arenas in Asia, and it is also one of the largest clear span domes in the world. BoybandPH (also known as BPH) is a Filipino boy band composed of Neil Murillo, Russell Reyes, Ford Valencia, Tristan Ramirez, and Joao Constancia. The group was formed on December 11, 2016 after winning ABS-CBN's reality show '' Pinoy Boyband Superstar'', a franchise of Simon Cowell's singing competition ''La Banda''. After winning ''Pinoy Boyband Superstar'', the group released its first single on January 1, 2017, entitled "Unli". Johanne Morissette Daug Amon-Lamar ( ; born June 2, 1996), known professionally as Morissette and frequently also referred to as Morissette Amon, is a Filipino singer, songwriter, producer and former actress.
