Mímir Kristjánsson
Kristján Mímir Kristjánsson (born 17 August 1986) is a Norwegian politician representing the Red Party. He is currently a member of the Storting for Rogaland since 2021. He was formerly a city councilor in Stavanger and a political journalist for '' Klassekampen''. Personal life He hails from Stavanger and has an Icelandic father and a Norwegian mother. He was in a relationship with Mathilde Holdhus, with whom he has two children. In 2022, he revealed that they had separated the year before shortly after their second child was born. In August 2022, he confirmed that he was in a relationship with fellow Red Party MP Sofie Marhaug. In October 2023, Marhaug moved from her native Bergen to Stavanger in order to live with Kristjánsson. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. Bergen (), historically Bjørgvin, is a city and municipality in Vestland county on the west coast of Norway. , its population is roughly 285,900. Bergen is the second-largest city in Norway. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. Hadia Tajik (born 18 July 1983) is a Norwegians of Pakistani descent, Pakistani-Norwegian jurist, journalist and politician from the Labour Party (Norway), Labour Party. 2021 Norwegian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 13 September 2021. All 169 seats in the Norwegian legislature, the Storting, were up for election. The election was won by a coalition consisting of the social-democratic Labour Party and the agrarian Centre Party that entered into negotiations to form a government. The election also resulted in a majority for the parties that seek to dissolve the unpopular and controversial Viken county. It saw a big win for the left-wing opposition in an election fought on climate change, inequality, and oil. 2019 Norwegian Local Elections
Local elections were held in Norway on 9 September 2019. Voters elected representatives to municipal and county councils, which are responsible for education, public transport, health, and elderly care, and for the levy of certain taxes. The local election was the first since the consolidation of municipalities and counties, reducing the number of counties from 19 to 11, and number of municipalities from 429 to 356. Despite the formal date of the mergers being 1 January 2020, the election proceeded with the new borders and divisions as the term of office began the same day.
