Miguel Ángel Carrilero González (born 3 August 1977), known as Míchel, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a striker, currently a manager. In a 15-year professional career, he appeared in 231 Segunda División games over ten seasons (58 goals) in representation of six teams, adding 62 matches and eight goals in La Liga. Xerez Club Deportivo, known simply as Xerez, is a Spanish football team based in Jerez de la Frontera, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. Xerez currently plays in Tercera División RFEF, the fifth tier of Spanish football. Jorge González Díaz (born 14 September 1974), known as Yordi, is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a striker. A journeyman, he amassed La Liga totals of 180 games and 37 goals during ten seasons, in representation of five teams (notably Zaragoza), and 161 matches and 61 goals in Segunda División. In 2002, Yordi had a six-month spell in England with Blackburn Rovers. 2007–08 Segunda División
The 2007–08 season was the 77th in the history of the Segunda División (known as the Liga BBVA for sponsorship reasons), the second tier of the Spanish football league system. The first matches of the season were played on 25 August 2007, and the season ended on 15 June 2008. Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad, and Gimnàstic de Tarragona were the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. Racing de Ferrol, Eibar, Sevilla Atlético, and Córdoba were the teams which were promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. The first goal of the season was scored by Joseba del Olmo, who scored an 18th-minute goal for Eibar against Racing de Ferrol in the early kick-off. Substitute (association Football)
In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time.
