Myroslav Kuvaldin
Myroslav Dzhonovych Kuvaldin ( uk, Мирослав Джонович Кувалдін, translit=Myroslav Dzhonovych Kuvaldin; born 19 January 1975) is a Ukrainian singer of Nigerian origin, songwriter and television presenter. He is the founder and lead vocalist of the reggae band The VYO. Early life Kuvaldin's father is from Nigeria, who lived in Ukraine while studying in the Zaporizhzhia State Medical University. After graduation he returned to Nigeria and Kuvaldin was raised by his mother. In 1979 Kuvaldin moved to Kobeliaky, Ukraine. He studied first in the Poltava National Pedagogical University, later in a Kharkiv university (speciality "Director of performance and mass events"), later in a Kyiv university, and finally in the Institute of practical psychology. Kamianske
Kamianske ( uk, Кам'янське, ), formerly Dniprodzerzhynsk, is an industrial city in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast of Ukraine and a port on the Dnieper. Administratively, it serves as the administrative center of Kamianske Raion. Kamianske hosts the administration of Kamianske urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: The city was known as Dniprodzerzhynsk from 1936 to 2016. On 19 May 2016, it was renamed back to its historical name of Kamianske. Reggae () is a music genre that originated in Jamaica in the late 1960s. The term also denotes the modern popular music of Jamaica and its diaspora. Braty Hadiukiny
Braty Hadiukiny ( uk, Брати Гадюкіни), or simply Hady ( uk, Гади) is a Ukrainian rock band from Lviv, one of the most successful Ukrainian bands of Soviet times. The band's musical style combines different genres such as rock'n'roll, blues, punk, reggae, funk and folk. Ironic song lyrics contain a lot of local vernacularisms, slang and surzhyk. The name translates as "Hadyukin Brothers", where the fictional last name Hadyukin is derived from the word ''hadyuka'', or "viper". The abbreviation literally means "snakes" (In Ukrainian the two words are cognates.) The band was active mainly between 1988 and 1996. In January 2006 they held a big solo concert in Kyiv which was a big event in Ukrainian media space and was visited by a lot of famous people (including Yulia Tymoshenko the prime minister at the time). A ''fazenda'' () is a plantation found throughout Brazil during the colonial period (16th - 18th centuries). They were concentrated primarily in the northeastern region, where sugar was produced in the ''engenhos'', expanding during the 19th century in the southeastern region to coffee production. The Prut (also spelled in English as Pruth; , uk, Прут) is a long river in Eastern Europe. It is a left tributary of the Danube. In part of its course it forms Romania's border with Moldova and Ukraine. Ukraine participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Under the Ladder" written by Mike Ryals, Kostyantyn Bocharov and Anton Karskyi. The song was performed by Mélovin, which is the artistic name of singer Kostyantyn Bocharov. The Ukrainian broadcaster Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine (UA:PBC) organised a national final in collaboration with commercial broadcaster STB in order to select the Ukrainian entry for the 2018 contest in Lisbon, Portugal. The national selection consisted of two semi-finals, held on 10 and 17 February 2018, and a final, held on 24 February 2018; nine entries competed in each semi-final with the top three from each semi-final advancing to the final.
