The Myanmar Open was a professional golf tournament on the Asian Tour. It was founded in 1996, and was played every year until 2005. Between 2006 and 2015 it was only contested in 2010, 2012 and 2013. Yangon ( my, ရန်ကုန်; ; ), formerly spelled as Rangoon, is the capital of the Yangon Region and the largest city of Myanmar (also known as Burma). Todd Sinnott (born 19 February 1992) is an Australian professional golfer. He won the 2017 Leopalace21 Myanmar Open, his first win on the Asian Tour, winning the first prize of US$135,000. Adam Blyth (born 24 October 1981) is an Australian professional golfer. Blyth turned professional in 2004. He plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia and also played on the Asian Tour from 2005 to 2013. Kiradech Aphibarnrat (; born Anujit Hirunratanakorn, 23 July 1989) is a Thai professional golfer who plays on the Asian, European, and PGA Tours. Amateur career In both 2003 and 2004, Aphibarnrat won his age group at the Junior World Golf Championships. In 2007, he was on the gold medal team at the 2007 Summer Universiade and took a silver in the individual event at the 2007 Southeast Asian Games. Professional career Aphibarnrat turned professional in 2008 and began playing on the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour in 2009. K. Mithun Chamika Udayanga Perera (born 26 December 1986) is a Sri Lankan golfer. His father, Nandasena Perera, is also a notable golfer. Chawalit Plaphol (born 30 August 1974) is a Thai golfer. He took up golf at the age of twelve and won team and individual gold medals for Thailand at the 1995 South East Asian Games. He turned professional in 1996 and has been a regular competitor on the Asian Tour since that year.
