Myanmar Idol (season 4)
The fourth season of ''Myanmar Idol'' premiered on September 6, 2019 and continued until December 28, 2019. It was won by Esther Dawt Chin Sung. The fourth season was co-hosted by Kyaw Htet Aung, the latter of whom left the show after the season ended. Regional auditions Auditions were held in Taungoo, Hpa-an, Taunggyi, Yangon, and Mandalay from June to July 2019, and around 10,000 attended the auditions. Structure of auditions There are usually two stages in the audition process. The first round is casting round and they sing in front the executive producers and more are eliminated. In the second round those who survive the first stage sing in front of the judges and this is the audition shown on television. Those who gain at least two "yes" votes from the three judges then receive a golden ticket to Golden Week. Golden Week It featured three rounds: Round 1, Group Round, and Solo Round. Kyaw Htet Aung
Kyaw Htet Aung ( my, ကျော်ထက်အောင်; born 14 September 1985) is a Burmese television host, MC, actor and model. He is best known for hosting in the televised singing competition show Myanmar Idol, which propelled him to fame in Myanmar. Early life and education Kyaw Htet Aung was born on 14 September 1985 in Yangon, Myanmar to parent Win Lwin and Myint Myint Oo. He graduated from East Yangon University. He studied acting at Talents & Models Agency in 2000. Career MC and host Kyaw began his career as a presenter in 2007. He is the second generation of the young TV presenters and worked as a host for Family Entertainment from 2010 to 2014. After that, he started as a freelance model and MC. Mandalay
Mandalay ( or ; ) is the second-largest city in Myanmar, after Yangon. Taunggyi
Taunggyi ( ; Shan: ; Pa'O: ) is the capital and largest city of Shan State, Myanmar (Burma) and lies on the Thazi-Kyaingtong road at an elevation of , just north of Shwenyaung and Inle Lake within the Myelat region. Taungoo
Taungoo (, ''Tauñngu myoú''; ; also spelled Toungoo) is a district-level city in the Bago Region of Myanmar, 220 km from Yangon, towards the north-eastern end of the division, with mountain ranges to the east and west. Aung Ko Latt
Aung Ko Latt (; born 10 January 1954), also known as James Patrick, is a Burmese director, cinematographer, storyboard artist and musician. He is the CEO of Aung Ko Latt Motion Pictures. Career After having lived in Japan in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Aung Ko Latt returned to Myanmar to shoot TV commercials. He was the first director in Myanmar to create concept-driven advertising rather than basic product promotions. In 2012 he storyboarded, directed, produced and shot the feature film '' Kayan Beauties'' (''Kayan Ahla'' in Myanmar), which was the first film in Myanmar to be shot using HD technology. Benjamin Sum ( my, ဘင်ဂျမင်ဆုမ်း; born 27 November 2000) is a Burmese singer of ethnic Chin descent. He rose to prominence following his finish as the runner-up on the fourth season of Myanmar Idol. Early life and education Benjamin Sum was born on 27 November 2000 in Kalay, Sagaing Region, Myanmar. His father was a missionary and died when he was four years old.
