My Truth
''My Truth'' is the second studio album by the Swedish singer Robyn. It was released on 17 May 1999 by BMG Sweden. Robyn collaborated with the producers Lindström & Ekhé, Christian Falk, Billy Mann, Thomas Rusiak and Masters at Work on the album. A pop, R&B and soul record, ''My Truth'' is an autobiographical album for which Robyn co-wrote all fourteen songs. Some of its lyrics reflect on the singer's fall 1998 abortion, which became controversial when RCA Records began planning a North American release. When Robyn refused to change the album after the label's request, plans to release ''My Truth'' outside Sweden were cancelled. Swedish music critics generally praised ''My Truth'', commending Robyn's growth as a songwriter. At the 2000 Grammis, the album received the Best Female Pop/Rock award. Robin Miriam Carlsson (born 12 June 1979), known as Robyn (), is a Swedish pop singer, songwriter, record producer, and DJ. She arrived on the music scene with her 1995 debut album, ''Robyn Is Here'', which produced two Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 top 10 singles: "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love (Robyn song), Show Me Love". ''Robyn Is Here'' is the debut studio album by Swedish singer Robyn. It was released on 13 October 1995 by Ricochet Records, Ariola Records and BMG. The album peaked at number eight on the Swedish chart and was certified double platinum by the Swedish Recording Industry Association (GLF). In the United States, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and had sold more than 922,000 copies by June 2010, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Worldwide, the album has sold over 1.5 million copies. The album is mainly written and produced by Swedish production team Ghost, with all songs co-written by Robyn. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. Catchiness
Catchiness is how easy it is for a song, tune, or phrase to be recalled. It is often taken into account when writing songs, catchphrases, advertising slogans, jingles etc. Alternatively, it can be defined as how difficult it is for one to forget it. Grammis
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years.
